it can be repaired. you will need to make sure you did not bend or crack the shock. usually it will bend so it will also need to be replaced. make sure everything else is good and take both ends of the drIve shaft out of the wheel and the transmIssIon. and replace It. when you Install the new one you wIl need to make It lock Into place or It wIll grInd the gears on the new one.
