Start by checking for vacuum leaks, compression then a scan for fault codes. One of those should turn up a problem

Transmission problems
could be the control module . many of the fords have them that bolt on the outside of the tranny .......check local parts house for replacement part, and they should be able to tell you how it goes on...... otherwise , aamco , can test the tranny to see if it's more serious issue.....

When i start tne car it dies
did you replace the distributer lately? if so it could be in the wrong position. check the firing order for the plugs first. the hard way is to take the number one plug out. hold your finger over the hole and have someone "bump" until you feel air push on your finger. then check timing mark on the pulley in front of the engine. should be a marker there and a line on where it should be. Make sure distributer is out when doing this. when the timing mark is before the maker. insert distributer with the rotor facing to the number one plug position. attach plug wires. replace number one plug. and then try to start. if it runs rough just twist the distributer until it runs at its best.

Why dont my fuel injectors pulsate on my 1991 ford mustang lx 5.0
The firing order is shown below from Jeff back in April 2011. The order is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 and cylinder one is front passenger side of engine.I would agree with the person who answered your question earlier, all of the injectors are powered by the same red wire, half of them are grounded on one circuit and the other half on a second circuit. Both circuits come from the computer. So if you have spark the ignition module is working, which would point to the computer being the problem.

1991 ford mustang, misses under 2000rpm replaced
If you've recently added (or oiled) a cotton air filter like a K&N, extra oil can foul the MAF sensor causing drivability issues. Most helpful thing you could do is pull the codes though and post them on here, as it could be many things... bad O2 sensor, intake leak past the MAF, failing fuel pressure regulator (my main guess) and others. It'd help if you listed what engine your car has as well and how many miles it has, and if you have this problem under load only or even when it is in idle. Pull the codes.
