Why does temperature gauge only reach a little past half?
Larry, If the cooling system was not bled properly, the temperature could fluctuate up to 3/4 then normally back down to 1/8 on temp gage.
If your gage is just staying a little over half when running, that is actually normal and acceptable.
The wiper motor runs, but the wipers wont work.
Can you move the wipers by pulling on them? If you can and they easily move, the wiper linkage is disconnected. If you can hear the motor run and the wipers are inoperable, suspect a seized wiper pivot
Low coolant light stays on until system heats
Your overflow tank(aka coolant recovery reservoir) is low on coolant. The coolant expands when warm and raises the level in the tank, which turns off your light. Top off the reservoir (when cool) to the "Full Cold" line. If you have to keep adding on a regular basis, then you have a leak somewhere in your cooling system, could even be the reservoir itself.
Can the rear driverside window for a 2003 buick century fit in a 2000 buick century
I think so. There were very few changes year to year during the Century's last generation run, from 1997 to 2005.
I almost think the doors could interchange on those models, but don't take my word for that. Any salvage yard could tell you through their interchange database. One last point, I don't remember the year, but at some point GM began outsourcing parts from Chinese manufacturers, including power window motors, and most people think the quality went downhill. Not trying to interject politics, just urging care considering costs.
My brake lights won't go
Your car may be low on Brake fluid. Pop the hood and check the brake
fluid reservoir. There is usually a line that shows how much fluid
should be in the reservoir. It should be pretty full, so add fluid if
needed. Perhaps you have some sort of brake fluid leak?
I would take a calculated guess that it is strictly a saftey factor (in
an emergancy on the highway if your foot is on the brake you are less
likely to be rear ended) and if this is indead true, than it is wired to
the battery independant of your starter switch
If the brake
lights are staying on even with your foot off the brake, it may be that
the switch controlling the brake lights is broken. Beware; this can
drain the battery, think in wire shortage.

2000 buick century door wont open
Use a Slim Jim to pop the door open or have AAA do it for you. Once open take apart the interior side of the door to gain access to the door lock mechanism and reattach the control rods for the lock with new clips.
Car stopped while, won't start back, just clicks, new battery, starter has been checked its ok
All the posted answers are good things to test. Since it died while running I would make sure the engine isn't seized. Get a large ratchet and locate the crank pulley( should be down low on the passenger side, it's the biggest pulley usually) put a socket on it if you can and try to rotate it clockwise. If you can't, you may need to remove the spark plugs to relieve some compression. Make sure you mark, take pictures or do whatever you need to to make sure you get the wires back in the right place. If you still can't rotate it, try rotating it the other direction(but it really should be clockwise if I remember right) if it does rotate make sure your battery is good. Just because it's "new" doesn't mean it's good. Get it and your alternator tested as a bad alternator can kill a new battery very quickly. If they're both good check the wires to make sure they're relatively corrosion free on both ends on all cables Going from the battery AND all the ones going to the starter. If they're all clean and have no breaks in the insulation whatsoever. If there are any breaks get New cables and check the fusable link of the negative battery cable as it will kill the power to the car. If all of that is good check the shimming on the starter as previously mentioned and all the other this. Let us know how it all goes
