Engine oil pressure light stays

Could be the oil pressure sender unit failure or oil pump failure. Have it checked . If it is the oil pump you can severely damage the engine if you keep running the car.

My BMW 5 series 1989

If your car is overheating it means that there is a leak in the coolant system somewhere. A common problem with a car this age is the in car heater core. Also the auxillary cooling fan may not be working. The first thing to do is a pressure test on the cooling system to determine where the leak is, and proceed from there.

Car battery went dead and need to find out how to

go to your dealership and give them the make, model, and year of your car. next give the the serial number of the radio( should be in the glove box on a label. explain to the the problem, and they should be able to look up the 5 digit code for you(most dealerships do this for free). when you go to enter the code, the radio must be powered up for one hour before entering the code(in case of theft). I hope this helps you

Location of distributor bmw 535i is it easy to

Hi,

Looking for the ignition distributor is quite easy!

Just follow those spark plug cables, at the end of that cables is a distributor, where all the wires are congregated. Accessing it is easy, the manufacturer made everything about ignition to be serviceable in case of problem and maintenance!

For do it yourself repair, you could purchase a service manual, it cost a little but could save you a lot!

Hope that helps you out!

I am looking at a

Ac not working.First thing to check is power to the ac .That is when you start the ac does it shows power. If yes then half job is done. Now if there is power then check for the compressor. Is the compressor turning on.If not then ac will have power but will not function as required. Now if the compressor is running but if you get hot air coming from ac then there is a leak in the ac.Check the coolant level. If its low it has to be made full.Get the ac pressure test done before making the coolant full. This pressure test will help you to know whether there is a coolant leak or not in the system. Also get the radiator and radiator cap checked. Also the radiator fan needs to be checked. If the fan is not running then it can be the cause of ac not running or ac running but giving hot air. But in case if there is no power to the ac then its connections has to be checked. In the dash there is main ac connector. This connections has to be checked by meter. Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

89 bmw 525i timing belt replacment, timing marks

Unfortunately you have bent valves and the cylinder head will have to be removed to replace them. Even at an idle, the engine has enough momentum to turn far enough to catch up to the stationary valves. Sometimes people will actually cause further damage when replacing the belt by turning the cam to get it in the right spot but not realizing that pistons were in the way during the process. Chances are, some valves are ok, but they'll all have to be checked when you get the head off. This is done by pouring solvent into the ports and watching for leakage out into the combustion chamber.

Hey i will like to know whats killing my battery

Assuming your battery is good (go to Walmart and have them check it for you; they do this for free) the most likely cause is a light bulb in the glove box, interior light, under the hood, door ajar indicator or trunk that does not turn off when it is not needed. Try pulling various fuses each night when you park the car. The night the battery does not die you will want to focus on the system those fuses control as that is where your problem is.
