Mini Cooper Transmission Relearn ProcedureIf the gear selection display on your Mini Cooper has an x before the gear selected, like xP or xD or xR, then you need to run this procedure.The usual cause of this is a dead or disconnected battery for a long period of time. First make sure you have a good battery that will hold a charge or fix the charging system problem.Get the car someplace where you will be able to drive for a mile or two without interruption on a fairly level road.Follow ALL steps and don't skip anything.Clutch Adaptation1. Check harnesses connections at/from module and dashboard backside panel.

FLASHER device need toi be replaced; check it fuse panel.

Check the fuse first. Maybe one of the bulbs get in a shortcircuit and the fuse blow up. It's very less probable to be the flash unit wrong.

Use the stalk and go to "CHECK CONTROL". When you select that it will tell you what the warning is for (Use the scrool button on the stalk to get to "CHECK CONTROL", then press the left side button to select it).

sir/madame.. it is obviously, that your engine has mechanical problem or damage. try to check it with your nearest car services.

hmmm... looks like ur HAZARD switch or ur ALARM is going!

try to remove the hazard switch or the relay and the fuse, in ur FUSE BOX, to make them stop for the meantime untill u could have a mechanic look at the problem in ur wiring system!

Who fitted the pump?

If the pump was fitted wrong it may have air in the pipes, it might need bleeding through, alternatively the fault could be the power steering rack and not the pump.
