Between the low and high level indicator lines printed in the bottle. If none visible, half or 3/4 of bottle is good.

Check and see if the Brake Pads were re-installed with all the hardware, ie, Anti-Rattle Clips, shims etc. if your pads are not secure in the Calipers it will cause the pads to rattle when you are driving in effect causing your brakes to make weird noises, ie, groaning, squealing, rattling.

Hi first of all you should bleed fervist away from the master cylinder,and when you bleed the back brakes are you shore that you kept the reserver full (we all make make mistakes some times)as if not it could have got air in the system,best thing to do is start again and bleed all the brakes and see if that puts it right,if not maybe the master cylinder is faulty,hope this was some help even though it sounds like you know what you are doing.

Kenny, The Volkswagen 1.8 seem to be prone to oil sludge in these years according to the forums on line. So if sludge is a problem, it could be partial plugged oil pump pickup causing light to flicker, and also may have cause piston rings to wear premature allowing excess oil to pass and show smoke from exhaust. Have engine checked, diagnosed and estimate for repair by a good Tech. You gone have to loosen up 2 engine supports so it can go down furter

Sounds like temp sensor that controls fan is faulty.This would cause fan to stay on all the time or not turn on at all.
