VW Polo oil warning light
this would not be in effect of any oil leaking i would say your oil sensor has gone and would need to be checked out by a auto electrician. i hope this helps .
Lt35 turbo sensor problems
how often do you change your oil?,turbo engines tend to cook your engine oil, because of the turbine is also cooled by the same oil, check to make sure your oil is not black or (burned),should change every 2500 miles on a turbo, those little turbines get hotter than the engine, also make sure their is no air leakage in your air cooler, that can burn up your turbine!
Can't change to fifth gear.
selector forks on the fifth gear are worn out but don,t let a garage take the gearbox out it can be fixed in place . had the same problem on my golf mk3 vr6 get the parts from a scrap yard should take about half an hour in the right hands to fix
Starting problems golf mk4 1.6 petrol
There is a part between the air intake manifold and the air box on your engine, it's usually black on a golf, will look like a 15cm tube around 80-90mm in diameter with a plugged wire leading into it, this is your MAF sensor or MASS AIR FLOW sensor and if dirty / faulty can cause an incorrect temp reading from the air intake and cause rough engine starting, this is a very common problem on mk4 golfs...
the part is apparently cleanable, with isoprop alcohol, or I assume white spirit.
the actual sensor needs to be removed from its housing for cleaning, and as always treat carefully... the part replacement, depending on where you go can be around $50 - $100 used or even new.... part number off the existing one on your car, try ebay as you can do well for price :)
could be fouled spark plugs from rich fuel mix on bad airtemp sensor, could be a million things but the MAF sensor is one of the golden oldies I'd be checking first :)
Goodluck, Chas
