Adjust handbrake on nissan terrano
On the inboard side of the rear wheel hubs, you will find an oval rubber plug, pry this plug out, to gain access to the brake adjuster.
Pull the handbrake up two clicks.
Jack and support. Remove the rear wheel, and adjust the brake using a screw driver levered through the slot to turn the notched wheel of the adjuster, until the hub starts to drag when rotated by hand. Repeat for the other side. Note the ratchet mechanism on the adjuster will only let it turn one way.
Check engine soon light on. EGR code
Before you unpack the EGR you might be able to save the old one by cleaning it an then collect a refund. The purpose of the EGR is to supply a measure of exhaust gas to the intake mix so that the charge delivered to the engine is reduced in oxygen. This reduces the ignition temperature and prevent nitrous oxide formation in the exhaust. The EGR valve has two ports in it side by side. The one to the exhaust is gated by the valve and the other is connected to the intake. The valve is pulled open by a diaphragm acted on by a vacuum line from the intake manifold. The EGR valve is often monitored and regulated by differential pressure feedback exhaust DPFE sensor that lies upstream on the vacuum line leading to the EGR. If this DPFE fails it will report the same EGR light.
Remove your EGR valve and plug the open EGR intake port on the manifold with a cloth and reconnect the vacuum line to the EGR valve. Start the car and now watch the action of the EGR valve. It should seen to open and close depending on engine demand. If it looks badly coked, spray it liberally with carb choke cleaner and wipe with a cloth until everything is polished metal. If the EGR looks good and is obviously working take a long look at the DPFE sensor; DPFE sensors have a reputation for failing many more times more often than the EGR valves they monitor.
Misfire cylinders 1-3 how can I clean them? do I
Check the plugs condition. Check the high tension voltage leads to the plugs - measure the resistance of each lead in in turn (so as not to loose track of which lead goes on which plug). Generally 6,000 ohm is usual but it depends on lead length. However if there is a continuity fault the resistance will be very very high. Have the cylinders pressure tested. If you suspect an intake manifold leak check all vacuum leads feeding off it. If the leak is suspected at a gasket joint spray the suspect areas with WD40 releasing fluid whilst the engine is running. Releasing vapour will be sucked in and this causes the engine to rev more quickly. Sometimes just tightening the intake manifold bolts a quarter turn can sort out minor air leak issues
I was in a wreck and my passanger side seat belt
Repairing it is not worth your while. It would be easier and cheaper to go to an auto salvage yard and pick up a used one and replace yours. Just try it and make sure it works before you get it. Hope this helps.
