Nissan wont start
My old Toyota used to do this. It was a sticking solenoid in the starter. One method that helped was placing the end of a piece of wood (2 x 4 or the like) against the starter motor and striking the other end repeatedly with a hammer. After a few good whacks it would start right up. If this doesn't do it you could also have a loose connection on your starter relay. Not sure where this is on the Nissan so best thing to do is check all connections on the starter motor. Hope this helps.
I have a 2004 nissan frontier and the starter
Are you buying bargan brands or a quality brand? Nissan uses Hitachi to manufacturer their starters and some places sell remanufactuerd Hitachi remanufactured starters. Nippon Denso remanufacturers Hitachi starters here in the US. It goes under the name Denso I\'m sure there are other good name remanufacturers out there, but I run into more cheap remanufactured parts than I do quality parts. The connections on your batteries must be clean and avoid useing those clamp on battery terminal ends, they are a source of many problems I have found in my shop. Make sure you have good grounds from the negative terminal to the engine as well as a solid ground to the chassis. Look for corrosion creeping up under the battery cable insulation. You can take a pocket knife and put a small slit in the insulation. People do not realize this. Current does not travel through a wire, it travel around the wire! If you have corrosion you can see on the outside, you can bet your bottom dollar it has traveled further inward. It would be like having a garden hose turned on wide open and then putting a small end on it. There is less surface area for the amperage to travel through to get to your starter. It eventually will take it\'s toll. This may not be your solution, but it\'s a starting point. Good luck.
