Yes.There is a system that you need to follow,rule of thumb on a conventional brake system even if this is abs. you want to be farthest way from the brake master cylinder that where you start.top of the brake master cylinder with brake fluid go to the furthest brake cylinder that will be the rear right.have someone pump three times and hold open the wheel cylinder as they are holding fluid will come out they will keep it the pedal to the floor till you close the wheel cylinder and repeat two more time this you will do working you way up to the closest wheel cylinder

your scan tool should have come with an index of trouble codes, if not a service manual will have one. however i would inspect the IAC (idle air control) valve

Keeping overdrive on just means that when you reach cruising speed, the engine then goes into fewer rpms, saving gasoline. If you don't do a lot of highway driving, it doesn't make any difference. If you do, then you'd want to turn it on when you're on a trip etc. it should tell in your owners manual. if not call auto-zone they should be able to tell you. or the dealer ! good-day !

there should be a big main fuse like 100 or 80 amps where the positive battery cable goes into the fuse box, under the hood. check that first and hope thats all thats bad.

get the OBD2 codes read to determine what (and how many) errors are being reported by the check engine light. Most auto parts stores will do this for free, and decipher the codes, sell you the part too!

Try cleaning the mass air flow sensor. It's a sensor that is in the air tube from the filter to the throttle body. If it gets dirty it will send a no start signal to the computer.
