Heat stops working and engine overheats
When your Pathfinder overheated you now have a blown engine head & gasket. When it overheats you run into costly problems that make your vehicle only worth scrape. You do know that using your a/c or heater puts strain on engine and could have leak at freeze plug or plugs and slowly leaking water from radiator or water backing into overflow that has it boiling with steam coming out.
2001 nissan pathfinder- car wont start
Check tightness of the clamps on battery & make sure the earth cable is tight from battery to engine, also check tightness of nut holding the cable 2 starter motor if all ok there its most probably the solenoid on top of starter motor replace this with new all will b ok.
My 1999 path finder is over heating and leaking what could be the problem?
The problem could be a coolant leak. A coolant pressure test would confirm. The leak could be from a loose or defective hose, a worn/damaged head-gasket, water-pump, freeze-plug, radiator, heater-core, or other component that antifreeze runs through. Please let me know if you have more questions or findings.
1999 nissan terrano diesel turbo is lacking power
Possibly the "Mass airflow sensor". I had a similar problem, basically the car behaved like it didn't have a turbo and was really slow. Unfortunately the Mass airflow sensor is expensive, about AU$800. Only failed once several years ago. Hope this helps.
