New keys with cylinder may not have a transponder chip , or new keys will need to be programmed. you will require two keys equipped with proper transponder for your vehicle, and either new keys cloned with the old transponders. If you have lost the original keys , you will need someone to remove the original keys from the pcm , than marry the 2 new keys to the pcm. If you have an original key , try placing it by the lock cylinder when attempting to start with the key supplied with the new ignition cylinder.

Check for a switch on the brake pedal lever, the switch makes the brake lights work.

Usually you'll start by turning the ignition to the on or accessory spot, it may require you to pump the gas or brake one or more times, but the new switch should have come with programming instructions. If you got it from advance auto or something, they can give you a printout on how to do it.

I assume that you performed a Clear Codes after doing this to reset the check engine light and then retested......otherwise the codes will remain until you do so.

It just goes up above the fuel tank brackets. If it has leaks there you will see it on the tank or at the frame. I always just replace them... Always. You don\'t have to pull the tank. just run them beside the tank. If the lines are god coming from the ABS or master cylinder, cut them. Use compression fittings from there and replace them all the way back to the back brakes. Don\'t kink the lines.. Don\'t remove the old lines, just extra work. Keep the new lines close to them, tie wrap them on

Hi, If the level of oil is good and the engine is knocking, this will not help. The engine is getting old. You need to see your garage but the repair will be costly. Just use it as long as it continues working then find a second hand engine to replace.
