The engine do not have power when going up hills when i massh the gas the engine stalls an pops and want go no faster then 15 to20 mph but when going down hills it runsmooth

A couple of issues may be happening. The first thing to check is When was the last time it was tuend up? If it was more than a year, take a look under the distributor cap. If it is highly carboned or corroded on the contacts- that could be your culprit. You might also have one or more defective fuel injectors. If high mileage- consider replacing these as they have a design lifespan of about 75000 miles. You might have a restricted exhaust. (muffler or catalytic converter or both if it has backfired loudly. It will also reveal itself if running with a significant load, this will reveal itself pretty quick as it will tend to do the same thing on a flat road. You may also have a weak thermostatic spring or stuck heat riser on one exhaust manifold if so equipped. You can also see in some extreme cases the engine vacuum decrease at idle as backpressure builds up.Assuming very high mileage- has the timing chain ever been replaced? If not, and you plan to keep the vehicle a long time, this might be something to investigate. At a minimum pull the rocker cover/valve cover off and check to see if valves are opening and closing late in relation to the timing mark for cylinder number one.

I have a 93 caravan doge and I took the starter

Check he connections of the battery terminal and battery to starter terminals.Any of the connections are definitely loose causing this spark problem. Car no start problem is sometimes very difficult to confirm. You try all the possible things, but still you get no fault and problem is still the same.--------
In that case, you need to check few things individually.
Check the spark, the battery, the crank, the fuel and other most possible parts. Click this link below for more details:-- http://howtobyme.blogspot.com/2011/10/car-troubleshooting-tips.html

Have a 1993 dodge Caravan SE. Purchased it from a

if something goes wrong with abs the brake system it reverts back to standard system!! If you can pump brake pedal up and hold it and start engine and it drops thats normal. You say low pedal if you go 15mph on road and check where pedal is when brakes apply.Power brakes will push aLMost to floor while stopped but while moveing you`ll almost go to slide or will go into slide if pedal is pushed to floor.Get on some gravel at 10 mph and hit brakes to a complete stop get out and check to see if all 4 tires slid or 2 front or only 2 rear. this will get you closer to problem good luck.

No spark when trying to start it

If can be the problem with spark plugs itself or the problem with faulty ignition coils, the spark plugs get power from ignition coils. Both the spark plugs and ignition coil voltage needs to be checked. This is many a times caused by weak battery or faulty battery, or can be possible that battery to starter connection is loose or faulty starter itself.First the battery to start and both battery and starter voltage needs to be checked and confirmed. If that is checked ok, then other possibilities like faulty spark plugs, faulty fuel pump etc etc needs to be checked. For more detailed troubleshooting, click the link below:--- http://howtobyme.blogspot.com/2011/10/car-troubleshooting-tips.html ---------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

We have a 1993 Dodge Caravan 2.5L L4. New

I have pasted your schematic below. With all new parts, the likely problem is with the wiring. If the car runs OK, the wire with the orange stripe is probably fine. So then you need to check the green wire to the computer for good continuity. Then check the black battery wire and fuse. Finally, check the ground wires. You might try connecting jumper cables directly from the battery to the alternator and turning the lights on to see if good connections make a difference. If they do, then take one off at a time to see which one is the problem (positive or negative).

I have gas smell in oil

Hello David, gas smell in your oil means it is getting there. It could be a number of reasons that cause this. For instance, if you have a vacuum leak the computer reads the engine running lean and injects more fuel into the cylinders than needed and some of the unburned fuel mixes with the oil.(this will usually trigger the check engine light) - It could be worn piston rings. A compression check would be needed to determine. It could also be something simple like the PCV valve. If your Caravan is running ok, i would replace the PCV valve, change the oil & filter, then drive it & monitor your oil. I hope this helps.

Motor slows down no power

Have you replaced your fuel filter? how about the quality of the fuel in your gas tank? Have you tried gas dryer for the fuel tank? checked the spark plugs and/ or the ohms resistance on the spark plug wires?

If yes, and you have more details, such as what was happening when the problem first occurred, engine size, mileage on engine -- or any other pertinent information, feel free to re-post.
Best regards
