2003 Chevrolet Impala - Page 6 Questions & Answers
2003 Chevy impala have a electrical problem. Something is draining the battery, checked alternator, fuses, starter. All is good bought a new battery and in 4 hrs it went from 600 cranking PS to 240.
This must be a light bulb on somewhere, have done hundreds of cars for this problem, and with a few exceptions only a light bulb draws enough current to run the battery down that fast. Check everywhere and do it in the evening. Check the sun visor lights, check the trunk light, hood light interior lights like glove box and console. I have found just a few exceptions to this, one is the electric fuel pump is running due to a sticking relay, the other is the Alternator. has a defective diode and is shorting to ground slowly. Make sure the fuel pump is not running, it makes a humming noise best heard with the gas cap removed. Disconnect the Alt. as well and see what happens if all the lights are checked and no issue found.
High pressure switch for ac in a 2003 chevy impala
Hello,
I am assuming this is the A/C high pressure switch.
Please go to Rock Auto's website located here:
RockAuto Parts Catalog
Then navigate to your car - there are 4 different models - select the correct one.
Then navigate to electrical connectors and find A/C pressure cut off switch
This will give you prices and you can compare with cost around town or you can order from them or any other reputable online company such as Autozone, Amazon, Napa, etc - remember cheaper isn't always better. I am not endorsing RockAuto just using their search engine.
Here is a picture of a pressure switch similar to yours:

Where is the low side service port for the air conditioning system?
Look close to the fire-wall in the area under the driver's-side windshield wiper. If you're adding refrigerant with the system from an auto-parts store, the fitting on the hose will not fit the high-side port, only the low-side port. Also, there should be a black plastic cap on the low-side port.
Where is the a/c low port on a 2003 impala
It's located behind the transmission dipstick against the firewall at the back of the motor. It looks like a black knob pointing towards the front of the car. This is the cap and can be easily unscrewed.
Speedometer fuel guage
Probably replacing the speed sensor on the transmission.Have the codes read, even if the light is not on. Look at the pending codes. The fuel gauge would be the sending unit in the tank. That act funny like that sometimes.
2003 chevy impala engine stalls whats the issues
When the actuator malfunctions, the engine gets no signal for idling speed and stops working. Clogged or restricted EGR Valve: If your EGR valve is clogged, dirty, or defective it can cause your car to stall, idle erratically, or sputter, depending on whether it is stuck open or closed. I would start there.

No power to radio
You could start by checking all fuses. If you bought an aftermarket radio and a harness, the yellow wire should be hot at all times.. The red wire gets power with the key. Use test equipment to see if these wires are getting what they are supposed to. If not, you will need to figure out why. It can be difficult to trace wires back because they are wrapped in a harness at the factory. Worse comes to worse, run a new wire to replace a non working one.
