Tranny noise and slipping
Check your fluid levels. It may need something as simple as a service i.e. fluid and filter. Or it may need replacement. If the fluid and filter are good you might try an additive.
No start...help
It can still be the security system even though there is no light. The security system controls the light, if it is malfunctioning, so can the light. The symptoms sound 100% security related. Maybe the sensor. It's really hard to tell.

Car won't start occasionally
From your symptoms it sounds like a damaged wire or connection. The ignition switch is a strong possibility. Take a look at the gauge cluster. Pay attention to the lights. When this "No Start" occurs, do you notice any lights flickering, flashing, or not coming on when it normally would? If there is anything else that you think of pertaining to recent repairs, symptoms, or tests that you have performed, please write back. Good luck.
Tranny slips when i accelerate from dead stop/
Before I would drop the transmission to replace it, I would add about 1/2 cup of brake fluid to it, and when you take it from PARK, (to go in forward motion) pull the gear selector all the way to "1" and as it starts rolling , then bump it up into drive.
The brake fluid will "soften" the seals inside the transmission and "clean" some of the trash off the bands in it.
This should be your decision to try, I did it and after about 300 miles, just put it in "drive" as normal, no need to replace fluid sooner, just normal intervals.
Use this info. at your discretion, best of luck with it!

Spark Plugs should be replaced every 3 years,in my worldWires are only replaced after ten years or more, or when theyfail, on a secondary ignition test, not just so you can be sold something called a tune-up that really is non existantPlugs seldom misfire, they just wear down & stress the ignitionsystemA misfire is caused by ignition coils, modules, vacuum leaks, egr & suchJust have to go thru all the scan tool data at a repair shop & on a road test, then component test or look for the obvious
