hi this is how to do it In the luggage compartment on the left-hand side below the convertible top compartment floor, pull out the plastic ring attached to a Bowden cable as far as it will go with a 90-degree turn, lock the plastic handle in this position In the hydraulic unit, a short circuit is enabled, making it possible to open and close the folding top by hand Pull the handle of the Bowden cable in the rear panel of the luggage compartment the interlock in the convertible top compartment is released move the top forwards by hand until it reaches the cowl panel take the Allen key from the on-board tool kit remove the plastic panel from the front roof brace Insert the Allen key in the uncovered internal hexagon
lock and unlock the cowl panel lock by turning the Allen key
take out and replace the Allen key and that should be it lock closed then, this sounds like you might have a hydraulic unit fault i would get it checked out soon as, as this could also damage other parts and put a strain on things if not looked at....hope this helps please rate and vote thanks

it has a break switch dumper ,,, near the breake pedal... on the only hole of it... it probably brokes ... its only made up of rubber

use the universal coolant. it will say something like, "for use with ALL color coolants"

have the body control module tested is my best advice, this is way over the head of a home repair job.

Take the lamp out and let the moisture dry up either blow dryer or air dry.

If this light is yellow, I would suspect that you have some kind of emissions type of problem….like a faulty oxygen sensor or something like that. If this light is red…..you need to have the car looked at IMMEDIATELY. You really need to find a BMW mechanic, those cars are “special” and you really have to know what you are doing in order to repair them, especially with computer related issues like you have. if i can be of more help please contact me have a nice day, Lee

Quite often this code will appear due to improper seal on gas cap. Clean it well especially seal "O" ring and threaded part where it screws into filler pipe, add a little wipe of vaseline to "O" ring surface, and see if that doesn't cure it. Did you notice it soon after getting gas? Usually that's the case, but if that fails I'd try a new cap before spending big money on other new parts.

Sometime it will come on showing a overdive fault that it slliped,but nothing is realy wrong,you might need to hook up to a code reader and check for stored faults and see if that was it,

you have to remove the door panel, the door glass is on a steel runner, and that is on a scissor system, sounds like the runner has come off the scissor system, this is an easy fix,( if nothing is broken ), but takes a little time and care......approx 30 minutes

I'm not familiar with a "Beemer" dash but most new cars have the triangle symbol which denotes emergency lights,esy to overlook

between the tachometer and the speedometer on your dash, you have two buttons
"S/R" on the left and one with a clock on the right.

press the "clock" button for a few seconds until the hours (or --:-- if never set) appears
on the "screen" under the speed meter and the column sign flashes.
press the S/R button to increase the hours until appropriate.
press the clock button again to pass to the minutes.
press the S/R button to increase the minutes until appropriate.
press the clock button to confirm the time.

at that point you are all set, and the clock on the radio should be ok too.
Every time you jump start the car, you will have to reset the clock though.

Do a voltage draw test with a DVOM to determine if anything is staying on, also charge the battery and have a free test run at Kragen or other chain parts store. Common sources of voltage draw issues running down battery are glove box lights, truck lights to name a few.

If you have a multimeter remove and test the fuses for continuity (OHMS) as fuses can look OK but they have blown. If your replacing fuses ONLY replace the with one of the Same colour and Amp rating.

To turn off HDC on a BMW, all you have to do is press the HDC button located on the center console.
