BMW 2003 745LI brought from USA check engine light
I had a similar problem, had it diagnoses and found out it was actually the thermostat not allowing the engine to reach normal operating temperature thus signaling the Cat to throw an emission code. It sounds far fetched but the diagnosis and fix was correct. I had the thermostat changes, fuel injection service, new spark plugs installed all for $350 and I have never seen that "Check Engine Light" again. Plus, my car drives like new with improved gas mileage.
White noise in 745
It sounds like you have a couple wires touching that are not supposed to be. I recommend tracing all the wire from your radio all the way back to the factory amp. If the factory amp is getting power while the vehicle is off then this is what is causing the white noise. I hope this helps, don't hesitate to ask any additional questions and please don't forget to rate me.
Battery dead
you can charge it but i wouldnt jump it. it may damage some elect components. disconnect it and place it on a charger. or you can take it to auto store to get it tested. it may be bad, but first determine it is bad. seems problems like these have been going around latley. is it equiped with a smart key? you should be able to look in your owners manual for smart key options. if it has smartkey there is a way to disable it if you dont drive it for a week, so the batt. wont die. let me know if the battery takes a charge or what. thanks
What is a IHKA module and a IDrive screen on a 7 series 745li bmw 2004 and how to fix it
The iHKA is the air conditioning control unit. The panel where you turn on and off the air conditioning and adjust the temperature. The I-drive screen is actually called a CID and it is a control display for all the functions such as navigation, radio, settings, climate control, services due, etc... There really is not a way to fix them without replacement. The control units are programmed to the vehicle and are usually VIN specific and cannot be used from car to car without causing other issues. I have used them temporarily to test a module but never left in or tried coding mine to another model. That makes it hard because you must replace it and that is expensive !!! You can try a used one from a junk yard but most likely will cause new issues
