THe microfilter is just the filter. The oil filter is available off the shelf at advance auto parts. It's the original equipment German brand, "Mann". It's about $12.00. The price of $300 you were quoted is more the range for a transmission oil change, not engine oil.

Don't be confused about the word"microfilter". Again, it just means the filter, same as any other car.

The lock rods have fallen off the handle mechanism. Remove the inner panel and reconnect

James, I believe this is the indicator lamp for the Automatic Stability Control plus Traction/Dynamic Stability Control. If the lamp stays on after the car starts, the system is deactivated. This means that the system is malfunctioning or has been deactivated with the button. The button is above and to the left of the left cup holder and should turn the light off (ie: activate the system). If it doesn't, you probably have a malfunction and should consult a Service Tech. What exactly is broken and where? Do you have a picture? Has the cylinder head been repaired? Is the correct procedure followed when installing the cam?

You need to be a bit more specific. Did the amber temperature/fan speed display stop working or did all functions stop as well? The control units are prone to fail on these cars as is just the display. There is also a control modules that can go bad as well. Repair of the module is not cost-effective option. I would first suggest having the BMW codes scanned and then replace the offending control or module with a used one. Part will be less than $100 plus you and cost for running codes. As long as all the battery problems are fixed, the most likely cause is a damaged key. There is a computer circuit in the head of the key. If that is damaged or you replaced the key recently the key will need to be replaced and or reprogrammed.

You probably need to have your tires aligned, do you rotate them at all every 6 months or so?

Sounds like a blown fuse.

Short answer is, I don't know. I know the fuses are inside the trunk on the right hand side. You may want to pose the question on Bimmerfest. Sorry I couldn't help.

sounds like the fan solenoid is stuck. or keep in mind when defroster is on or any climate control in this car the ac compressor will run .wich in turn will kick on the electrick fan .try it with the climate control completely off. let me know
