2002 BMW 530I MECHANIC SAID I NEED TO REPLACE
A fellow BMW enthusiast who has owned many of them once said "Show me a BMW that is not leaking power steering fluid, and I'll show you a BMW with no power steering fluid in it. This problem is common to the point of being universal.
If the oil stain on your garage floor is not annoying you yet, then you don't really NEED to replace the hose yet. All four of my BMWs are at least damp with oil in that area.
That being said, the high pressure hose is actually two hoses that run parallel to each other with a metal U-shaped pipe connecting them together. This assembly will run you $275 at the dealer or $225 on line.
I cannot use my key
see if the key programme works i have uploaded the scanned picture but you may have to wait for it to be censored

How to replace brakes on 2002 BMW X5
Rear brakes or Front Brakes? Once the rear drums are removed you have access to all the brake parts for the rear brakes. As far as the front pads are concernedonce you remove teh wheel you ahve access to the caliper assembly which is removed by loosening the two retaining bolts on the back side of the caliper and it lifts off to remove and replace the pads themselves then goes right back on. You will need an Allen Wrench of the proper size to remove the retaining bolts, a caliper compressor to do the front brakes. To remove the rear brakes once the drum is removed you have to use a brake repair tool or a large Flat head screwdriver and a large pair of needle nose pliers. The initial retaining clips for the rear brakes can be removed by grasping the exposed end and turning 90 degrees then use the screwdriver to stretch and leverage off the spring assemblies that operate the brakes.

On some BMW models the hot connection is on the firewall under the hood on the passenger side. Sorry I don't know about the 2002 model.
When indicating left the indicator
You will find that one of your left indicator globes have blown, when replacing make sure you put in the correct wattage, if your globes happen to be all working than you will find it has a bad earth connection which will require tracing of the wires, recommend and auto electrician for this.
I have a 2004 525i.
There could be many causes for this fault from a faulty sensor, low fluid level, or a more severe problem with the transmission. It could be a sensor or, one of the valves in the gearbox.
The transmission module needs to be scanned, to get error codes. The transmission light comes on, so there is definitely error codes saved in transmission memory. The transmission module needs to be scanned to retrieve error codes. As per error code, it will point towards the faulty component causing this problem.
---------------- Get it scanned for codes at local car diagnostic center or at autozone service center.---------
This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
Whe going to the shop then turning engine of does
This probably be a temperature sensor problem in your radiator. If the temperature sensor runs hot and gives out wrong reading to the engine, the car may not start until it really cools down below the safe range. Check the temperature sensor or your radiator and also see if the radiator fans are working when it runs hot
