My lights on my instrument panel are not working
there are 2 torx srews when you look toward the top of the cluster from iside where it sits. unscrew them and remove the cluster and you should be able to replace the bulbs behind it. if your talking about the matrix display in the cluster you will need a new one. bmw's are notorious for them going bad

Where is the oil dipstick on 1999 z3 2.3
Your Z3 has the M54 series engine. the oil dip-stick is on the driver's side, toward the rear of the engine. Notice the small red top of the dip-stick, in the photo, between the intake manifold and the brake fluid reservoir (behind the silver stressbar).

Immobiliser box making load clicking also
Did you change any electronic components in the car? If yes was it compatibl eto the car? Simple things like radio are programmed into immobilzer... What about key changes? This would indicate an electronic alteration of some kind.. Or component failure / blown fuse....

BAD STARTING AFTER HAVIN NEW FAN COUPLING FITTED
Anythings possible with a 10 year old car. Could be a fuel pump or ignition issue. We have tools to test for this situation. Without testing were all just guessing. Would you really throw a $500 dollar part on the car without accurately testing because someone said too. This really needs to be brought to a repair shop.

Dash light came on looks like cog with !
Gear with ! (Automatic transmission)
Yellow warning lamp = The transmission is malfuctioning. Avoid heavy loads. All of the selector lever positions can continue to be engaged; in the forward drive positions, however, the vehicle will be operating in a restricted gear range only. Have the system checked as soon as possible.

Need radio code after changing battery for z3
did you buy it from a dealer? or off of someone? if you bought it from a dealer, call them and give them the vin, and your name tell them you need the security code for the radio and they will normally give it to you, some might have you come there just so they can make sure it is you and not just someone calling with your info... if you bought it from someone, and have their info to transfer the title, contact them and ask them if they have the code cause normally they will.... if not then do the same as listed in the begining... cause most dealerships will have it on file..... or in the computer system... or have a generic code to get teh radio working....

My z3 starting problem
i would say its a dead (flat) battery. if its more than 4 or 5 years old, it might be time to replace it.
try jumping it with another vehicle. if it jump starts, then replace the battery.
if its a newer battery (less than 4 years old), then something is draining the battery or the alternator is not recharging it.

BMW Z3 1999 2.8L I CANT FIND THE FUSE NO. 49
it should be located left of the steering column. look for a group of relays and a module. near that area will be several fuses. you will have to remove the lower panel to see it clearly.
