1994 BMW 3 Series Questions & Answers
Where is the passenger airbag deactivation switch?
Your vehicle did not come with a manual [driver controlled] deactivation switch. The passenger side airbag on this car is controlled by a switch built into the bottom seat cushion of the passenger seat. If you place an object heavy enough on the passenger seat to activate that switch, the airbag will be activated. If it is activated when the seat is empty, then the switch inside the seat bottom is either defective or someone has disconnected it. Look under the passenger side seat for an electrical connector which may be unplugged.

Why sputtering on take off and up hills
This could be most anything without more information. I would suggest having the codes ran by a qualified BMW repair shop. It could be a simple as a vacuum leak or torn intake boot, a bad sensor, or bad coil. Or it could be a clogged catalytic converter, slipping transmission, ECU issue, or a burnt valve. You did not say if there were any check engine lights on or even if it was a 318 or a 325.
Information is key when working on a BMW or any other later model car. Get it scanned.

Bmw m42 engine to fit a camshaft sprocket to a camshaft
The M42 and M46 engines have the twin vanos pulleys and require locking tools to lock the crank and cam shafts inot the correct position. There are no timing marks on these as they are floating pulleys- ie they have no key locating the pulley in a specific position on the cam. Unless you make accurate marks during stripping there is very little chance you will be able to get the cam timing right on this engine without the cam locking tool kit.

How do i set the timing marks on the cam gears for a
Making SURE you turn it in the direction it turns when the engine is running, rotate the cam until the timing marks align. (Use a wrench on one of the bolts that hold the gear on for leverage. The belt or chain must be off when you do this.)

How do i replace the turn signal indicator bulb on 1983 bmw 320i?
You don't say if its front or rear?
The rear is through the back corner of the boot/trunk, you may have to remove some trim. The bulb holder is a twist and remove type and be careful to line up the tags on replacement.
Front is similar and requires access to the inner wing, this may mean removing some other items to gain access.

Battery won't stay charged
1. the car drain's the battery even when it is not started or the key isn't in ignicion, the car has a electrical problem, you left a light, the starter could drain it, the alternator as well, or a bad radio is draining the battery even with no key in the ignicion,
2 it's a bad battery (discharges it self by beeing counicated inside).
solucion 1. to see if the car is drainin the battery would be by disconecting a battery termina and see if discharges again, if not, then the car drain's the battery.
solucion 2. if the battery discharges even when if it's disconected from the car, then change the battery.
warning, the first cause coul'd induce to a self discharging battery. even if you changed the battery, do a litle monitoring to be sure it's not the car that is turning the battery bad. how? if you install a new battery, leave the car for a few days (i mean do not start the car) and see if the battery discharges, if so, then you have to search what is draining the battery (that could be a very costly work, time and money and complicated). or put a ''battery disconector'' so the car cannot discharge the battery.
