depends one what has been maintaned already. if you havnt replace the spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter, oil change, brake fluid flush and cooling system flush.

Hi there. The BMW is rugged indeed; but the japanese cars have better fuel economy. However, the newer models have better fuel economy. Depends on what you want to sacrifice, comfort or fuel economy....Opportunity cost. When within its roadlife with no problems, can be sweet. It is a car that "loves" to be taken care of. Just be careful, that when it exceeds its road life, it can give so much problems. After fixing one thing, something comes up again. If you check next door in Cotonour, Benin Republic, you can find very affordable prices and good grades. Good for Nigerian roads and the truly rugged "german machine".

to install neon headlights on this vehicle is not permissible because of the heat given off ,you have to have special headlights with a certificate of homoglonation .But if you have just changed the bulbs from the old big round ones to halogen 45/55 watt then no problem .Now on this vehicle their are REally need to know two fuses for the side lights ,one for each side of the vehicle ,also you havent put weither the back light is working as well .So if the back light is working then you have a problem with front light only if the back light on the same side isnt working then you have a problem with the feed to the fuse or the fuse holder is melted .Often its quicker to run a feed from the other side light ,because on this vehicle you can put the parking light on ,then by using the indicator arm put the parking lights on one side or the other of the car ,and if this is playing up then often the cost of parts if it cant be fixed easy is more than the vehicle is worth .Really need to know if the back light is working as ,or not whatever the case may be

dont quote me but i think its attached to the oil filler cap

tighten the lifter just give it a quarter tun or so until it stops ticking. (do this with car running)

If you cannot find a key, try this: The parts store will have a tool in the fuse section that tests fuses by using a continuity tester. It is a very useful tool that allows you to identify bad fuses without removing and inspecting them and is more reliable than a visual inspection because it tests them electrically. They are not very expensive and are well-worth the investment, especially if you do not have the fuse key.

YOUR CLUTCH WIRE HAS BEEN DESTROYED.JUST CHANGE IT AND HAVE A GOOD RIDE......

if you go to the dealer they will copy the mech manule it you ask them as they want you to get frustrated and take it to them
so go on and ask and if all else fails take it to them or goto local parts store like auto zone they can preint it off too
dealer is best bet though

This could be fuel filter clogged and/or impurities in the fuel system, fuel injection not adjusted properly or faulty coil. Hope this helps.

GET A ELECTRICAL CLEANER AT AN AUTO PARTS STORE CALLED CDC, GO TO THE MASS AIR FLOW UNIT ,SEPARATE IT FROM THE BOX, THEN SPRAY THE SENOR,THAT SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM

remove the cubby and behind this you will find a blue relay which you should strip and resoldre the dry joints

Latch under the hood, Drivers side of the BMW emblem. Lift it up and voila!
