Your dealer is right, the expense is in removing the console and dash. It may be a light bulb or it might be a soldered LED. See if you can see or feel anything under the dash if you lay the seat flat and get your head down by the pedals.

I have an LED out behind the seat heater button in my 2005 Lexus. Dealer quoted about $250 to get to it, but that is only part of the front centre console.

No, not a fuse issue. Either the speakers aren't wired correctly of there is a wire loose somewhere.

Usually two voltage circuits to the starter solenoid. The largest terminal should the cable that comes from battery. A smaller cable, although still big, with insulation on it, is the starter field terminal, goes into the starter motor body.
There should be a smaller terminal, starter s terminal that is feed from starter switch crank position.
You may have to compare old starter solenoid with new one, as far as the wiring. See if they are the same as far as wire terminals? I'm not sure I answered your question? I can't see anything from here?

Engine coolant low
Air trap inside the coolant system
You have to check that before going any further.

Hope it helps.

Have you had the battery tested ?
Could be a dead cell in the battery or a dirty connection with one of the main battery cables.

there is no dipstick. the fluid must be checked from under the vehicle. fluid must be at 209* f.
or trans will be overfilled. there is a plug on the right end of the trans( 7/16" )& must be removed with engine running, if at proper temp & fluid comes out then trans is full.

If you're finding it difficult to service/repair your car, get one of those online manuals. You'll not have to wait for others to answer, or rely on mechanics and all. Plus I know a website that has very good manuals online, without expiry i.e. for lifetime. www.reliable-store.com

it from. www.reliable-store.com

The only thing I would think of is. At the GM dealer ask for a service bulletin for the 2006 Pontiac Torrent if any or look for any changes in body configuration and under the car. Whining noise could be a big puzzle. Need a very good technician in noise problem to find out and very expensive to find if not under warranty.

Hope it helps.

Even if the C/E light went off before u scanned it, it should still have a code in its memory if an electronic problem was involved. have the emissions read, look for a lean condition, ck for over adjusted brakes (too tight)

Another possible cause is your coolant sensor. if the sensor goes bad, it will drip coolant but won't notice it because it just seeps down the engine components. Most people don't even realize that there is such a sensor. it will send a faulty reading that its overheating when the coolant level is fine and when enough coolant does seep out it will still say its overheating because it is at that point. I would definitely look into checking your coolant sensor as the cause since it's so hard to even see that it is leaking and its super easy to take out and replace. hope that helps if you're still having problems
