Engine code P2440 is in my 2006 Pontiac grand pix. I have replaced the valve, however engine light came back on and again code P2440 is reading. Any suggestions of how to fix this?

1. Using a scanner, turn the Key On Engine Off (KOEO). 2. Check for a baro reading from the AIR pressure sensor of about 100 kPa (or 14.7 PSI) 3. Start the engine, turn on the air pump and the AIR control solenoid valve. This will measure the pressure from the air moving through the system into the exhaust. Expect to see 8-10 kPa higher than the KOEO kPa reading (or 1.16 to 1.45 PSI higher than KOEO PSI reading). 4. With the engine running, turn on the air pump, but shut off the AIR control solenoid valve. (This is basically a dead head test of the air pump). Expect to see 15 to 22 kPa above the KOEO baro reading (or 2.18 to 3.20 PSI above the KOEO PSI reading).

My 2006 grand prix was repaired so that it could pass the e-check but when I took it in they told me that the system has not reset

Put a professional scan tool on it & see what I/M Monitors haven't run yet, maybe they never fixed ALL the issues I fault the shops for giving you back a car they know won't be accepted at inspection & expect you to drive it forever & it be your problem I road test all vehicles with scan tool software for 50 miles if have to, until the 8 monitors run clear & it WILL pass inspection

I have a 2006 pontiac grand prix and it is leaking coolant and we can not find where it is leaking from. We replaced the water pump gasket and it still leaks. It looks like it is leaking from someth

have a pressure test done so that you can see where it is leaking from.. If it is in the side of the block it may be a rusted welsh plug. Check inside the car for a leaking heater core and hoses . Check the drain hole under the water pump as it may be leaking from that hole while the pump is running ( water pump seal)
