What should the temperature of the heater core inlet hose be?

heater hoses run from the rear of the block to the water pump. One hose into the heater should be hotter than the other because heat is transferred in the heater in the car. . The cooling system draws water from the bottom of the radiator ( water pump inlet)which is always cooler than the top hose and dispenses it throughout the engine and heads including the heater core. It is then pushed past the thermostat with all the heat from the engine to the top of the radiator where it is cooled down by the air passing through the radiator . Check that the air vent for the cabin is set to recirculated cabin air and not fresh air from the outside as it will require recirculated air to increase in temperature to work properly

Low beam lights dont work

Are you sure bulbs are good? If low beam are running lights as well, might be set in series. If one bulb goes out, no light at all. This was the case for a 2003 toyota camry. Was wired in series.

After 8 years of the engine of my 2006 Toyota Prius shutting off when I stop at a red light or any other stopping it has now started stay on anytime I stop. Why would this be happening?

The engine turns on to keep the charge in the battery pack up. Your battery pack is nearing it's end of life expectancy and will need to be replaced at some point. That is why the engine is running more than it used to, the battery pack just can't hold a charge like it used to and the computer is detecting this, thus turning on the engine to keep you going. there is always a possibility that one of the controllers that monitors the battery is giving a false reading and turning on the engine. Unfortunately, it's the drawback to having a hybrid car. The battery pack isn't cheap, but you can find them at better prices if you shop around instead of relying on the dealer to replace it. You might be able to get more specific information if you visit a forum specifically for Hybrids, or in particular the Prius.

How to replace a factory ignition switch t universal awitch

I think you can get a wiring diagram from the internet. or you can use a ohms meter and volt meter to help check the wires out to see where the go or come from, always use the colors of the wires to help check they are coming from or where they are going to. You really need to find a friend with some knowledge to help you. just remember that you have to a 12 volt line coming in, 12 volt going out #1 to starter #2 to the ignition coil #3 the fuel pump. If you get that right if will at least run. use the color codes to trace to each thing you want to use. GOOD LUCK Jerry
