If it goes down, the motor and pump works. Your most likely looking at the control module or a sensor. Have the codes read for the top module.

my cruise control and the controls on the steering wheel are not working, Just picked up my 2005 BMW Z4 from the dealer. Where do I start Looking to solve the problem.

first of all drill a hole in the lowest part of the floor to let the water out ,then look under the bonnet and where the wiper motor is check the drain holes at either side under the grill trim where the cab air is drawn in

If its yellow, thats a good thing. Check in the trunk that the two knobs that hold the top when retracted are in the down position. Top should drop like it always has. LOVE MY Z4!

my remote control truck back wheel is broke

If you can get into to cockpit then just push the button under the steering wheel to the left; it opens the trunk. If that was your only set of keys, call a locksmith, get into the cockpit hit the button.

you need to have the pass key it is a 4 digit number if you have all of the ooks that came with the car there will be a white card with all the telephone data on it. if you can not find that you can take it to your neaest BMW dealer and they can hook it up to the diagnostic machne and read out your 4 digit code out of the telephone module. hope this helps.
