I got mercedes S280 2000. The SRS Airbag light is showing on dash. what does that mean and how much it normally cost to fix. I am in New Zealand.

we have a 2000 mercedes c230 with a dead battery and unable to open trunk with key need help. thank you
I have the same issue (battery is completely dead in my 1998 Mercedes C280 and I can't pop open the trunk). I looked under the hood and have no idea where the positive charging post would be - can anyone help me find it? Thanks

My trunk release button on my Mercedes Benz C230 will not open my trunk and there is a light that stays on that indicates that the trunk is open.

trunk has always worked fine and now the only way to open it is to slide the valet key out of the remote keyless entry and stick the key in the key hole in the trunk... if you close the trunk and press either the trunk button on my keyless entry or the trunk button in the car... nothing happens... just a little hissing noise comes from the trunk if you listen closely... this model car has mechanism assist on all the doors and trunk AKA if you close any one of doors or trunk lightly, the mechanism pulls the door or trunk closed tight... its a convienience feature i guess... so no when you open the trunk with the key and close it, it no longer pulls the trunk in tight it just makes another hissing noise.... the car has an airmatic suspension and i assume the the doors and trunk also use an air system to assist in closing the doors tight and im sure thats why the trunk is making that hissing sound.... all the doors still work perfect.... it just the trunk is the issue... is this air leak issue, maybe the air hose for the trunk has a leak or is it the entire mechanical part of the release???
Trunk can be lock separate from the doors valet try unlocking the trunk with the key lock it with the door.Read the owner manual it will tell you about valet parking.

2001 Mercedes S500 Dead Battery, cannot open the trunk to access battery.
under the passengers side front floor pull down the rug ...you will see styafom ...remove it ...next a # 10 socket metric of course remove 3 nuts on plate ...lift plate you will need to wiggle it out ( its not hard) you will seee large red wire and a small red wire you connect your jump box or battery car jumper to the SMall RED WIRE AND A GOOD GROUND ... your car will start i have done it many times ...hopefully your trunk will open

2000 s500 air con does not have power not the sam unit all fuses and relays are ok is there any hidden fuses when power is given from an outside source it works
1. In the fuse box no.# 1 placed in the engine compartment:
Check fuse no.# 23 - F23 (10A) = Air Conditioning Control Unit.

The key got wet and will not start the car. I do not know if I need to replace the battery or get a new key?
Take it apart and use a blow dryer to dry it out. Any moisture in it will make it malfunction.

2000 Mercedes S430 Manual trunk release wont work. Car has power and door locks are working.
you have to stick the key in the trunk and turn it to the lefy while hittin the unlock button on the key pad 35 times has to be 35 and it will unlock. my battery died and it locked the trunk as u know i coudn't jump it cause the battary is in the trunk haha but yeah 35 times while hitting the key. mercedes wont tell u but my buddy works for inskip and filled me in your o so welcome from one s430 owner to another
