EXPLAIN TWO THREE TIME BEFORE IT STARTS CRANKING OR TWO OR THREE TIMES CRANKING THEN IT RUNS LET ME KNOW MAYBE I CAN HELP IM A MECHANIC

Engine stalls cold or RPM fluctuates at idle up and down or dies near idle.

This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve but always run a OBD2 fault code as well as the cleaning procedure. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control. If the above cleaning doesn't cure your issues you need to have the computer controlled automatic idle speed control system diagnosed and repaired by a dealer or electronic engine control repair shop.

Add until the fluid just touches the end of the dipstaick, then run the engine until the ATF is hot and top it off.

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

if its not working try fuses in fuse box if fuse ok see if there is voltage at the lighter if yes then its the lighter its self hope this helps

i dont know if the procedure works the same as the c-class but try the followingturn electronic key to position 2 in the ignition lock and immediately press button 0 (the 0 you would use to put the trip odometer to zero) twice within 1 second turn electronic key back to postion 0 in ignition lockthen press and hold 0 button turn key to position 2 keep 0 button pressed after 10 second beep sound will be heard then release 0 button should reset service timehope this is of help

you cannot need a reset tool can buy these for about 15 to 30 pounds from ebay i have the same problem with my c180 elegance
