My key will not turn in the ignition - how can I start it?

If your key is too worn out, have a new key made. If key is fine, spray some lubricant into key cylinder opening. Use a nozzle to make sure you get lubricant well into key cylinder. Then insert key and wiggle up, down and to sides until cylinder hopefully releases. You may want to leave lubricant penetrate overnight. If this doesnt work, cylinder will need to be replaced. Also, make sure your key is the right key to vehicle. Try it first on a door or hood..

We have break lights and turn signals but no running lights will work on our trailer. any ideas?

I you will start with an electric meter (an ohm-meter or a multi-meter), check the trailer plug socket at the back of your truck. You should have a contact for the ground, one for the taillights, and one for each turn-signal / brake light. If the socket at the end of your truck has everything in order, then you likely have a broken wire in the taillight circuit. Check continuity between the plug and the light bulb socket to see if the wire is broken somewhere. A common place to break is close to the plug itself. God bless your efforts.

On my 2000 sierra the front passenger tire leans inward on the top n there is no brakes what can it all be

did you hit a curb or pot hole on that side? this can cause the leaning wheel. also if the camber shim or adjustment is loose will cause it also. no brakes sounds like a brake fluid leak if you talking about the same side or if its both sides it could be the master cylinder.

My ac stays on when i turn off my truck

Have you tried to hook it up to the tester, take it to Napa or whatever auto store you got by, they can plug in to your truck and tell you what is happening or close to it. Sounds like your computer or you have a wire problem. You can remove the fuse, ac and doors won't work but you can lock and open doors with your key. Luck to you

How do i change my oil

Drain old oil, replace filter, fill with new oil.
First find out how much oil your car holds, and what viscosity (you'll see on any new bottle of oil, 10w-30, 5w-30, 0w-20, etc.) Then find out what filter you need. Honestly walmart is your best bet. They will tell you which model your car needs. Get your car on a sloped surface, (you can buy plastic ramps cheap specially for this) and remove the plug from the oil pan Located toward the front of the car directly under the dashboard. You can google pics of an oil pan. Drain the used oil, find your old filter, remove it, replace, put the plug back in and fill it with however much yoyr engine needs. Most cars take 3 to 5 quarts. Good luck

Ticking noise from engine upon start up but eventually goes away oil pressure gauge doesn't move at all when started or shut off. Gauge stays all the way past 80! Help me please!

Since changing the oil sender made no change, dash gauge may be dead. Hook up cheap mechanical gauge to see what is really going on. Ticking when first started is probably a lifter and may not be a big problem. How many miles on engine?

What would cause my electric door locks to not lock with the remote or door switch? They unlock with the remote and they lock when in drive moving forward.

Hi Brad: These can be a PITA. Have you tried replacing the battery in the remote? Sometimes that will solve the problems. Beyond that, I severely dis-like any component that I cannot bypass. I'm thinking I'm too old for this technology.

Put a transmission in a 2000 sierra and it want go in any gear

What does "it want go" mean? It will not shift into gear, or once in gear it "want" pull? If the latter, do you fill the trans with fluid, let it pump around by shifting through all the gears and then check the fluid level again?

20005 gmc sierra hot on driver side

I had this happen on my 2004 also. I have the climate zone control module that allows for adjustment for driver or passenger temps. I had to cycle between hot and cold on the passenger side and switch it between defrost and feet, then power off everything for a long period of time using the power button on the control, this finally got the solenoid to become unstuck. If that doesn't work then you have to get into the heater/air ducts under passenger side, which is difficult, to manually unstick or replace the locked solenoid.
