Front drivers door does not lock or open through
possible bad actuator ,wiring/connection problem,switch,actuator rod disconnected[clip popped off or broke-u can test power to switch but for the others need to remove door panel to access the lock system
My 2006 vw golf alternator light has come on
check the belt could be broken or loose, if not then it has to be that the alternator is bad test it with an ohms meter to see if its charging,you can test it at the battery terminals,if the voltage is dropping as the engine runs the alternator is no good.
Climate control fan not working, but LCD dispay
That is an automatic system with self diagnoses capabilities. You need take to a VW dealership and have it scanned to find out your exact problem. This climate control system can not be repaired outside of the dealership as it has to be coded to your auto with a scan tool after they replace..

hi from uk the recommended ?? milage to change camshaft ? do you mean camshaft or camshaft timing belt ? if the belt ?? it is approx 80,000 mls or 4 years which ever comes 1st ? and the belt tensioner pully at 160,000 mls as for camshaft is it noisy/tapping ? hope this is info you require ?

just because the fans come on that doest mean that there is no problem if your thermostat is not operating correctly this could make your engine over heat also while your at flush yout coolant system really good.
Change headlamp bulb on vw polo 2006
Open the hood/bonnet and you should see the back of the headlights in the front corners of the engine compartment. Look for bolts/sping-clamps that are holding them in place, and remove. Slide the headlight out so you can reach the bulb, remove the old one and replace. Reverse the removal procedure to replace the headlight

Hi, sounds like your clutch is not being able to push out the wheels inside... you may end up not being able to shift out and in soon. It is better checked by a service... I got stuck like that, not on a VW, but it "felt" similar to your situation when it gave up the ghost.

A quick effective inexpensive fix would be to spray your electrical system with a can of Rust Check. While it is a rust proofing it is also waterproof. If you get the stuff in the green can, it is thicker and doesn't wear off near as quick. Hope thishelps.
