2008 mitsubishi alarm going off for no reason?

The sensing system of the alarm is not set properly. Could be that the sensor is too sensitive or that there are objects or debris triggering the sensor into the alarm state.

I have a 2008 mitsubishi where the dash lights go out and the cars dies but I still have headlights and interior lights.

headlights and other lights are not connected to the engine system. If the dash lights go out and the engine stops there is a fault in the ignition system. A simple check is to remove any objects (keys, pencil tourches stc from the key as they swing with the vehicle they can and do turn the ignition off just a quick check before spending a lot of money

How to remove evaporator from a 2008 eclipse

Hi Ryan, You have a very tough job ahead of you. You will need to have the system evacuated before doing any work on it. Keep the ozone layer forefront in your mind having that done. A good idea is to take detailed photos recording to order of dis assembly. The whole instrument assembly and dash need to be removed. Mark both sides of all electrical connections as you remove each. Most will only fit into the correct receptacle but its safer to be on the safe side. Remove the instrument panel by removing the screws at the top of the housing and gently pull it towards you. Remove the plugs from sockets. (each has a clip which must be pushed in.) I guess you have removed the fascia covers, climate controls and music system from the center consul already. Remove all nuts and bolts holding the dash and then remove music system and climate control mounting frames from the center consul. it is easier to remove the entire climate assembly than to try and work on it while it is in place. Taking that into account, open the hood (Bonnet) and disconnect the coolant pipes being very careful not to damage them while removing. Then remove the refrigerant pipes at the relevant joints. back inside the cabin remove the electrical connections and then the mounting nuts of the unit. Lift out the entire unit. You will see spring clips locking the assembly casing together. Remove those relevant to your job and when the evaporator is exposed do what you intended with it. It would be a good idea to replace all 'o' ring seals as you have gone this far, that is if you still want to? The job will take about two days. When assembling if you forget to replace some of the nuts and bolts your vehicle will rattle and vibrate. Regards John

I have a 2008 Mitsubishi

If the top is working fine, but still the convertible top indicator , light comes on dash. Then its the problem of cars computer not seeing the top down.It still thinks that top is not closed and car is running, and so the indicator comes ON.But if top is actually down, then it can be due to convertible getting down bit slow. Its motor and its switch in the latch both needs bit of servicing.-------
You can use wd-40 spray in the latches or any good contact cleaner in the convertible top latches, you can get the top motor greased and the convertible top switch.Get that switch connections also cleaned.---------- This problem many a time occurs due to top getting down timing.----------- FOR example:--- The top comes down in 2 minutes, so when you close the top, the top comes down, but if it takes 2 minutes 10 seconds, then computer triggers that top is not closed. But when you turn off and turn on car, the computer memory again resets and detects the top closed.-------- This timing gets increased, due to top motor getting rusted or latch, switches getting dirty, so it takes few more seconds then actual time and this then triggers the computer to indicate on dash,. that top is not closed.------- Getting this convertible top-- motor, latch and switch cleaned and basic serviced,, like cleaning the dirt collected to the latch, switch.Cleaning it contacts, cleaning its terminals.Should help.------- Thanks.Helpmech.

Do I need to add antifreeze to my 2008 eclipse? It

If you have straight water in it now, you should. A 50-50 mix will be more than sufficient to handle those temperatures. If it has antifreeze in it now you are probably safe because the 50-50 mix is a standard mix. You could stop at the autoparts store and pick up an antifreeze tester for about $20 and test it, then you will know for sure. Hope this helps.

When lights are on low beam the fog(driving)

it is illegal in europe/japan for these foglights to work on anything BUT low beam.as the light spread from these would be defeated if main beam were on in foggy situations.in other words pointless having them switched on.you could always fit accesory spots/driving lights.(like rally cars)but these MUST only come on with high beam.(so you dont blind oncoming traffic.)

Hole in the Compressor? Thats not a design flaw. You have problems. Do you mean Condenser? If it has a hole in it, you ran over something to cause it.
