The Power will not turn on.

Pam Jeffers... hello, Then look to your grounds (frame, engine & body)... The problem with a GLOBAL phrase like "will not turn on" indicates (very unlikely) everything... Nevertheless I always recommend for flawless documentation... get the FACTORY+WORKSHOP+MANUAL... & H3+2008... Barring that research & purchase check "bbb industries" (below) for your vehicle... Also check what your OBD (on board diagnostic) is telling you about registered fault codes BBB Industries Premium Alternators Starters Power Steering Products

Why has it become difficult changing gears once I get to 70 mph?

Hummer... On the Air Conditioning... The good news is... if it is coming "ON" at all... you have a marginal charge level... Usually cured by an INEXPENSIVE top-up of your favorite REFRIGERANT... Check around the clutch pulley... if you DO NOT see any fresh oil... you can proceed without securing financing first. Do get ESTIMATES first (avoid dealer SALES OPPORTUNITIES). Your system is in pretty good shape so your "SERVICE" opportunity ought to be reasonably priced... ~~ On your shifting Has it "BECOME"... means to me you were used to better... Notwithstanding what the experts tell us (all) about modern vehicle fluids lasting forever... Your TRANSMISSION will live longer, shift quicker and cost less during its LIFE-CYCLE if you REGULARLY change out the fluid. The best ATF transmission fluid test is... Before shifting goes bad... 36K TO 50K miles: - visual: beautiful wine (ruby) color... No = Dump it..!! - smell the fluid on the dip-stick... Pleasant? (STINKs like varnish) = No... GONE BAD! NEW Fluid & Filter time (in a hurry). If you are New to the HUMMER ... it is pretty well arrived at its top gear when you are doing 70 mph... It is designed as a RUBICON ROCK Crawler... and as such there ought not be a lot of shifting left to do... I'm just saying. When you are checking the a/c clutch for any trace of fresh oil... (mentioned above) also note the refrigerant type... Check out the A/c component prices on Rockauto.com and then also go to autozone.com and look at their SPECIALTY TOOLS loan program. Both these jobs are quite do-able if you have a master mechanic mentor at your elbow... Quite DANGEROUS if you don't Good luck... be safe. I have a 2006 hummer

Clean your battery posts and cables. Sounds crazy but this is a very common problem with the h3 and other vehicles. If you battery is old get checked and or replace it. Once battery cleaned and proper connection is restored, it may take a bit of time for the battery power to build up enough to operate properly again.

Cutting off while driving

I would have to ask how heavy is your key chain, a lot of people don't know that if they have any more weight on the key chain then the car came with new it will start causing shorts in the ignition switch... so start there, next major problem is the transmission sensor in those cars, will cause the same problem... I believe when u change the ignition switch in that car you need to have the key programmed again.. or it will not allow the unit to start... anti theft deterrent. But either case a proper mechanic should be able to diagnose the problem...

What would cause a H3 Hummer to burn oil and give off smell. Temperature gauge rises as well.

One thing that could do all of that is a blown head gasket. That would allow the oil to mix with the coolant and the coolant to mix with the engine oil. Have to get it fixed right away or the engine will be trash.

My 2008 H3 hummer seems to being oil. My service temp light comes on and temperature gage starts to rise. It also is giving off smell like burning rubber and at times smells like rotten eggs. What wou

Rotten egg smell is your cateladic converter... part of your exhaust pipe... should go away in a month.... the smoke coming from your oil is natural... as the oil heats up it can smoke a little... kind of a wisp... anymore then that you should get it checked.... park the rig on a large white sheet and check in a day for oil spots, if you see some isolate the area, a lot of times it can come from a loose oil filter, or oil plug but some times it comes from a worn seal. also check that the pvc valve isn't worn.... then if they are all ok I would be thinking the engine is burning it...ps. it is important to use the right weight of oil for the temperature... too thin burns off, too thick over works the oil pump and rings on the piston. stay away from the cleaners unless you are changing the oil, I use a product called sea foam personally. Good luck

How do you by pass the amp on the radio, only the tweeters work, new radio installed did not help

Sounds far fetched...but there is a good chance that the speakers are bad. In 2008 and 2009 there were some questionable speakers in some gm cars and trucks. If you have doubts...try replacing just one speaker...even if it is temporarily connecting a known good speaker. You may very well find your solution.

I HAVE AN 06 H3

check the blower speed control, it most likely burned out, also jump battery power direct to the blower and see if it runs, if it does the speed control is defective, if it doesn't the blower motor is toast.
