is the crank shaft position sensor signal reaching the ECM? you need to also check that the ECM is sending injector pulse signals, the only way to do this is take it to the dealer and they can hook up a break out box at the ECM/computer and watch the activity live to and from the ECM connector, the box is sandwiched between the 60 pin connector and the ECM module, this is the only same way to approach this issue. This solution assumes the ECM has power to it, 2 lines into the into the ECM should be hot (12 volts present) witht the key on one with the key off.

You must determine if your engine will not start because of lack of fuel or lack of spark. If fuel is the problem, check the fuel pump, pressure etc. If no spark, check the coil, distributor, 12 volts to the coil, etc.

Your car must be either the 3.2L or the 4 L variant. The error is for the Air Flow Meter. If you are planning to do this yourself, check the wiring if there are no corrosion and if there are connected properly. If you have a mulimeter or a tester you can test if the signal is still good. The ECU or computer module looks for air flow meter signal less than 0.2 or more than 4.5 volts between 400 and 300 r.p.m.

You've definitely got some weird stuff happening here. All I can suggest is you get a good Auto Electrician to look at this. It could be anything from a simple short in the wiring, A faulty switch to something more serious in the vehicle's ECU. Have you had the vehicle scanned for trouble codes? Might try operating the handle and manually flipping the latch. Many times older springs can wear and break to where there isn't anything to move the latch to the open position by itself. If you can manually open the latch and get it to latch on the striker, you probably are missing a spring inside the door on the latch itself.
