2007 Mercury Mountaineer transmission solenoid problems
I don't think your transmission control got the correct start-up information, Do this. Remove one of the battery cables and touch it to the opposite terminal. So if you remove the cable from the battery pos and hold it on the neg for several seconds then reconnect and road test until the TCM learns. I hope this helps. Take Care.

Can we use snow tires on it and if so what kind
Hello. Yes, snow tires will give you the best possible traction in winter driving conditions, better that all season. The size tire depends upon the size of your rim so go to a tire store and shop around. They will tell you what size your vehicle requires. As far as kind goes, I prefer Michelin but any brand name snow tire will work fine.
Kindly rate my answer as useful. Thank you.

Where is the keyless code located in my 2007 Mercury mountaineer
Open the right/rear door. Fold the right/rear seat down. Carefully pull the trim panel where the right/rear seat belt pivot/height adjuster is housed. Once removed, pull the trim panel below that in order to expose the Vehicle Security Module (the module that controls the electronic locking system for your vehicle) that has the three electrical connectors plugged into it. The connectors are colored green, grey, and blue. On the module there is a label with the engineering number similar to 5L2T-15K602-EA. You will also see FIVE large numbers. Those FIVE large numbers are your Keyless entry keypad code. Once you know your keypad code, you can test its operation by first entering the FIVE digit keypad code to unlock the driver door, and then pressing the 3/4 button within 5 seconds to unlock ALL doors. Pressing the 5/6 button within 5 seconds after entering the code will unlock the liftgate glass. Pressing the 7/8 and 9/0 buttons simultaneously at any time will lock ALL doors. Hope this helps.

Shakes when idling
If you do not have a check engine light on or one flashing you do not have any cylinder misfiring going on. I do not know which engine you have but the common causes of shake ore engine and transmission mounts are defective, exhaust system is stressed due to an impact. Look for damage. Also the miles on the ticker help me to give cause, if it is very high miles then the motor counts would be my focus.

When I pump gas into the gas tank it trips gas pump
there is no vent...fuel systems in most cars are closed..Did this just recently start to happen or it was happening all along. some inlet pipes are pitched at an angle that newer gas nozzle coupling cant properly seal around and this trips the pump. especially if you are trying to fill it to full tank
