When I pump gas into the gas tank it trips gas pump

there is no vent...fuel systems in most cars are closed..Did this just recently start to happen or it was happening all along. some inlet pipes are pitched at an angle that newer gas nozzle coupling cant properly seal around and this trips the pump. especially if you are trying to fill it to full tank

The heating system intermittently blows hot and cold air and the temperature gauge will show overheating, then the guage will go back to normal. It may be the thermostat but I am not certain. thank y

You most likely have an air pocket in the cooling system. You'll need to bleed it. The coolant sensor is designed to monitor coolant not steam.

Cant turn key to off and remove with out disconnecting electrical connectors?

Could be your shifter is out of adjustment. If it doesn't go all the way into park on shifter, yet transmission is in park, then the shifter is moving to a far enough position to remove the key.

Why won't my 07 Merc Moutanineer Navi system send me by direct route

Some settings have SHORTEST distance overriding the fastest route. Other settings have SPEED overruling distance, regardless of whether the road is an E-way or not. Just like you can pick the E-way it may be set for surface roads. Also make sure the REROUTE setting is not doing this to avoid accidents or construction or TRAFFIC conditions. I know exactly what you mean, I had the same problem going from Detroit to Texas, and it was pulling me off the E-way and putting me on Indiana backroads. Think it was on the shortest route, afraid someone's backyard was next.

Why do my radio display lights go from bright to fading out

I would look into the dimmer switch next to the switch that turns on your head lights. Pull out the dimmer and see if maybe the wires in the back are connected all the way. If everything looks ok then it may be time to just buy a new dimmer switch.
