2008 cadillac throwing p0008 code
Hello, this code indicates a problem with the cam timing. in most cases the timing chain is the problem. the engine control module can no longer adjust cam timing to the proper spec while running. this normally requires the timing chain to be replaced. this is covered under the 5 year 100,000 mile warranty thru GM
2007 cts cadillac high oil
this is not normal for any car.i would say you may have a problem with the oil rings or the pcv system allowing oil to be drawn into the combustion chamber and burnt.also if the intake gaskets are worn in the right place it can cause this to happen.you must see smoke coming from the motor when driving the car sometimes.
2006 CADILLAC CTS 3.6L, IS THERE A CERTAIN
Yes, the engine sensors will have to be paired to the old ECM. If only the actual engine was changed , not also the throttle and the other sensors, then nothing should be done, it will work like nothing happened. If there are some small differences in the behaviour of the engine the ECM will automatically adjust to compensate. Just make sure no error codes are left in the ECM before running the new engine for the first time.
