2007 Pontiac Montana - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
2003 montana arm to recline all seats defective
It is easier and CHEAPER to call the junk yards and check for the control head for the controls you need. you can remove your controls a a unit and replace the entire unit. Cost for the unit should run between 50.00 to 100.00. You may want to check to see if the control for the seat is replaceable. If it is you can get the control on line at RockAuto.com or from the junk yard. Several Ford models may have the same parts so you may not be limited to just the Montana model.

Wher is the low side service port
There are 3 a/c service ports - 1 high pressure and 1 low pressure. They are 2 different sizes so that you can't mix them up. Your a/c charging canister has the correct size to only fit the low pressure side.

Location of thermostat on a 2007 pontiac montana sv6
Follow the radiator hose back to the engine. Where the hose meets the engine is where the thermostat is. Should be two or three bolts holding the fixture on. Inside of that fixture is the thermostat. Make sure the engine is cooled down and make sure to replace the coolant that you will lose changing this. Easy fix.

Cluster not working but the lamp is working
yes, your cluster has likely gone bad. you can pick one up cheap at the wreckers, but, all the programming is in the cluster.
if you have all the same options on your car, - traction control/stabilitrak you are in luck. Otherwise you will have errors which MIGHT be able to programmed the dealership for $100 but doesn't always work.

Brakes
Rotors warping is a common problem on this van. Be sure to use quality parts - you get what you pay for.
As with all cars, if your brakes are not free floating, they will stick on and rub the rotor while driving causing them to overheat and warp as well. Be sure your brakes are properly serviced. Excessive brake dust on your rims is a sure indicator of this problem.
There was a design change to the splash shield, the old design caused more road debris to attack the rotor causing increased wear/warp.

I have 2 bucket seats in the middle of my 2007 montana. can i take one out?
Yes of course you can remove the seat. There is a pull at the rear of the seat in the middle (down on the frame) The pull is a loop of material. You need to pull that up with solid force, this will release the lock so you can tilt your seat forwards. Once the seat is rotated forward enough, you will be able to lift the seat out.
I leave my seat out behind the drivers seat most of the time for easy access into the back and just putting stuff in the car. Also, the side clearance height is higher than the rear hatch height.

Oil pressure light 2007 Montana
Assuming you have enough oil (there is a separate low oil sensor) and you have replaced the filter (can go bad) a lot of times the oil pressure sensor is the problem, especially if it is intermittent and your engine is still sounding smooth.
The sensor located right above the oil filter - you need to access from under the vehicle after removing the starter motor (disconnect battery first). You will need a 27mm (1-1/16") deep socket to be able to unscrew the old and screw in the new sensor - do not tighten very much - 15 ft lbs I think.
The sensor is CA$38 at the dealership.

Where is the power outlet in the 2007 pontiac montana
The front power outlet is below the tip out tray, in the centre dash console, near the floor. It may have a plastic cover installed. The rear one is located in the rear cargo compartment, on the right hand wall of the van.

My battery got disconnected and now when I try to start it it says starting disabled
By disconnecting the battery, you probably lost the memory for the anti theft (doesn't happen often). Leave the key in the on position without starting for about 15 mins. You may have to repeat this process 3 times (totaling 45 mins) before the anti theft can recognize the chip in your key and start the vehicle. I know this can be time consuming but it's a way to get it done without costing you money. I hope this helps. Good luck.
