I cannot get the Change Oil Soon message to reset

Chevrolet Malibu, Malibu Maxx 2004-06; 2006 HHR, Cobalt, Pontiac G6, Solstice
Turn ignition to run engine off. Display OIL LIFE RESET in the Driver Information Center (DIC). Press and hold the ENTER button for at least one second. An ACKNOWLEDGED’ display message will appear for three second or until the next button is pressed. This will tell you the system has been reset. Turn the key to OFF. If the “CHANGE ENGINE OIL” message comes back on when you start your vehicle, the engine oil life system has not reset. Repeat the procedure.

Location of oil filter on a 2007 pontiac g6

Oil filter location for a 2007 Pontiac G6. First open and lift the front hood of car. Its some what right from center on the engine about 9 inches from the radiator. All you will see is a black cap with black plastic nut in the center. You will have to buy a special tool to attach to your socket wrench to remove the cap. Turn it counter clockwise to remove it. Inside is a filter attached to a plastic part and rubber o - ring. The filter is NOT enclosed in a metal casing. Remember how it is positioned as you take it out. Pull off the old filter. Remove the old o - ring. Place new o - ring in place. Place new filter on plastic part and place it back inside the engine. Make sure it is placed in the same way it came out. Screw on plastic cap by hand most of the way. The tighten with special tool and socket wrench clockwise, but not too tight. This is now complete. Now you can drain out the old oil from the oil pan underneath the car. Remove hex screw with long wrench for more leverage. One to 2 hours later place hex screw back in by hand and tighten with wrench. Now add about 4 1/2 quarts of 5W30 oil only. Check oil level on dip stick. Add more oil if necessary. Job complete!!!

Location of thermostat for 2007g6

The thermostat is located in the thermostat housing which is in the radiator return line...11_3_2011_8_25_27_pm.jpgZooming link: Image 111_3_2011_8_26_35_pm.gifZooming link: Image 2You will loose all the coolant when you remove the thermostat. We use a vacuum coolant fill device to remove the air from the cooling system and **** new coolant back in. I don't expect you have this so you will have to improvise. Fill coolant into block through upper radiator hose at radiator.Hope this helps and just keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer. Trouble starting error code is p0451

P0451 - Evaporative Emission Control System SensorThis sensor is used to test that there are no leaks in the EVAP system. This is usually a result of a failed sensor, but considering your starting trouble, you most likely have a leak in your EVAP system which is allowing extra air into your intake.Attach a vacuum gauge to intake manifold vacuum and start the engine. You should see 19-21 inches of vacuum at idle. If it's significantly lower than this, try unhooking the evap line from the intake and covering the intake port with a vacuum cap. If the vacuum comes up, then you have a leak a leak in the EVAP system you will need to find and fix.Hope this was helpful.
