How to replace secondary air valve on 07 buik lacrosse 3.8l
It is bolted to a bracket behind the motor, to the left of the EGR valve. I have no idea how to unbolt it, I can feel 2 bolts on top... no problem, but when I stick my hand behind the motor I can feel the bracket bolted to a second bracket (where the engine cover rests) The air valve seems to be bolted through the bottom, and it looks like I can only get to it by pulling out the brackets

I have a 2007 Buick
Sounds like a loose wire to the switch because it is coming and going.
it could be the switch is shorting out inside. Check the wiring first.

Oil lamp and wrench warning light buick lacrosse
The oil light with wrench symbol means that your car needs an oil change and quickly. However, if you believe that's an error, use the Digital Instrument Cluster located on the dash to reset it or carry out the following steps to reset it:
1. Put the key into the ignition and switch to ON position
2. Once the dash lights have turn off - fully press the accelerator and release it three times in a row within five seconds
3. Now start the car and the error should have gone away

My daughter-in-law went to start
Anti-theft light on ( car an padlock symbol ) when trying to start the vehicle with the second set of key's ? Do you know how GM anti-theft system works ? There is a transponder in the head of the key . Around the key lock cylinder is a coil of wire ,when you stick the key into the lock cylinder ,this coil of wire energizes the transponder in the key head . A module the coil of wire is hooked to reads code of the tansponder . Everything is controlled by a module , BCM - body control module , PCM -engine computer , anti-theft module . You can research all you want ,you won't be able to trouble shoot without factory or professional type scan tool , service information , checking diagnostic trouble codes . Your buick has more computer power then the space shuttle has . Serial data communication networks . Your best bet , take it to the buick dealer .

How can I program my remote?
Remote for ? door unlock / lock , remote start , garage door opener .
If the door lock / unlock , panic alarm ,remote start . You can't dealer only . Need a factory scan tool .
Transmitter Programming
Important: Up to 4 transmitters can be programmed. Do not operate or program the transmitters in the vicinity of other vehicles that are in the keyless entry program mode. This prevents the programming of the transmitters to the incorrect vehicle. The order in which the transmitters are programmed is important. The first transmitter programmed will be transmitter #1, and the second transmitter programmed will be transmitter #2. Use care to program the transmitters correctly.
The scan tool must stay connected until all of the transmitters are programmed.
Invalidate All
This procedure will erase all keyless entry transmitters from memory.
Install a scan tool.
Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
With the scan tool, select Body.
Select Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR).
Select Module Setup.
Select Program Key Fobs.
Select Invalidate All Fobs.
Follow the scan tool on screen instructions.
Transmitter Slot Programming
Transmitter slot programming allows a single transmitter to be programmed into a specific slot without affecting any of the other programmed transmitters. By using slot programming, the transmitter originally programmed to a specific slot is erased and the new transmitter learned in its placed.
Install a scan tool.
Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
With the scan tool, select Body.
Select Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR).
Select Module Setup.
Select Program Key Fobs.
Select the key fob desired to be programmed.
Follow the scan tool on screen instructions.
Remove the scan tool.
Exit the vehicle. Operate all functions on transmitters to verify correct system operation.

Hum/noise on driver's side dash
No , there are no vacuum operated mode, temp. actuators ,there are all electric actuators . Is your lacrosse
Dual Zone Control ? Could be a stuck temp. control actuator . Do you get both heat an cold from that vent . I'm assuming it's a vent when you say grid . Does you lacrosse have manual or automatic climate control ?
Air Temperature Actuators
The air temperature actuator is a 2-wire bi-directional electric motor. Two control circuits enable the actuator to operate. The control circuits use either a 0 or 12-volt value to co-ordinate the actuator movement. When the actuator is at rest, both control circuits have a value of 12 volts. In order to move the actuator, the HVAC control module grounds the appropriate control circuit for the commanded direction. The HVAC control module reverses the polarity of the control circuits to move the actuator in the opposite direction.
The HVAC control module determines the door position by counting motor pulses on one of the control circuits. These pulses are small voltage fluctuations that occur when the brush is shorted across two commutator contacts as the motor rotates. As the actuator shaft rotates, the HVAC control module monitors the voltage drop across an internal resistance to detect the pulses. The HVAC control module converts the pulses to counts with a range of 0-255 counts. The HVAC control module uses a range of 0-255 counts to index the actuator position.
The replacement of
Temperature Valve Actuator Replacement - Left Side Is not difficult at all , Don't need to take the whole dash apart !
Remove the left closeout panel. Refer to
Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side. Disconnect the electrical connector from the left air temperature actuator. Remove the mounting screws from the left air temperature actuator.
Remove the left air temperature actuator.
This is view of left side actuator .

How do I replace the
Either you should be able to access the bulbs from inside the boot after removing the interior carpet/plastic or there'll be screws when you pop the boot holding it on one side then the other side of it should just pop out of grommets/clips.

2007 Buick Lacrosse low beam headlights both went
The relay under the hood may have gone out. We had the same problem on our 2007 Buick LaCrosse CX. The bulbs were fine, high beams worked, all turn signals and everything except the low beams turned on. Turns out the relay had gone bad.
