Hi mate all mercedes turbos pass a small amount of oil but how much is coming from the exhaust ?

Front wheel drive vehicles have what are called transaxles. They have bearings in them that are bad which is the clicking noises you are hearing. Need to get it to someone who is automobile savy. And has done them before .They can be difficult . But they will eventually leave you stranded on the road side if you don't have them fixed.

Reinitialize the system. Close all doors. Start the engine and apply the brake. Turn steering to full left lock and hold for two seconds, turn to right lock for 2 seconds, return to center. Repeat that procedure a couple of times. Move car forward and/or backward at least 30 feet. If there is no reset DTC and no stored or registered DTC, the MIL should go out.

Firs you can unpplug the battery cable for about 5 minutes and replug. You might need your radio code to follow the next step. If you are not sure about doing this I strongly suggest you to pay a visit to your local dealer first.

Check the drive belt is not broken . then check the compressor clutch is working , If ok a clicking sound will be herd as the air com is switched on and off , if not clicking check fuses.

We have seen a few e200's with noisy diff centers it only seems to be on the 200's for some reason , there is two options, one ask you dealer to contact Mercedes and request special assistance on the cost of replacing the diff as the vehicle is only four years old, second option is to have it removed and send it away to a diff shop and have the bearings replaced as that is what normaly causes the noise.

the garage may have broke the air sensor in the tire. as the brakes Mercedes brakes have a wire sensor in them and the shop must have put on the cheap brake pads with no wire . take it back to them

You must check the fuses under the steering wheel, or in the left side of the steering wheel.

I don't think it can be reset without a dealer spec scan tool. Has the service been done? if so, the servicing garage should have reset it. Oil Changes are not "service" If it has not been done, have it done. If the service garage does not have the proper tools to reset the service indicator, they don't need to be working on MB.

service 'c' means you have additional items that might need addressing during the service. Mercedes used letters A-F for the Flexible service system on the E class. The letter correspondes to the hours the service should take. Service A is 1 hour. Service B is 2 hours. Service C is 3 hours etc all the way to F. On average the service C consists of oil and filter change, vehicle inspection A and the brake fluid flush.

The newer Mercedes-Benz need to be hooked up to a scanner to reset the computer.

seems like faulty transmission, the reason is when you drive the car gears are up shift form 1 to 2 , 2 to 3, 3 to 4, 4 to 5, like that it should be 7 speed auto trans mission in your car, if you mention when which gear up shift the problem occurred I can give more information about what's the fault in transmission, so according to your details it's like two gears are engage together, when two gears are engage same time the transmission control unit understand it's something getting wrong in the transmission according to actual value of gear ratio, then trans mission change the gear to neutral for a second and after that it give the one lower gear than the gear which was stuck and drive fine, this thing might not happen all the time but is the problem verse it can happen all the time, the solution is you must get your car to the Mercedes dealer workshop then they can find what's the wrong inside the transmission before remove it, they have advance diagnose tool for it, then they will repair your transmission, this is the cheapest way, if some one repair your transmission without right understanding regarding what's the exactly fault you will be stuck, may have to be remove again and again,

2008 should still be under warranty. Call dealership or the 1800 mercedes number and have them fix it.

do you have a standard key or a smart key?

1) Turn key to position 2.
2) Press/release the R button to show the next service due light. Release button.
3) Turn key to Off.
4) Press and HOLD the same R button to view the service light, THEN, within 2 seconds, turn key to position 2.
5) Wait up to 10 second and the light will reset to show new service .

it means that you need to have regular service work done by the dealer, service letter "C" disignates what is to be done, check the onwers manual or call your local dealer.
