Hi, what you mean with ticking noise. In my understanding like you talking about tapet noise. First try to change your engine oil. If the noise still coming you have problem with hydraulic lefters.
Check the tube running from the air filter housing to the throttle body. See if it is cracked on the bottom side. It is either this or a fuel pressure problem. Two most common issues.
the remote should have a little slot in the seam that you pry on with a small screw driver or a dime will work as well. once open you will see the battery, remove it an replace with one of the same type. the part number for the battery will be stamped on the battery. the batterys can be purchased just about anyplace.
While I was changing out struts on my 2007 Entourage, I had to remove the wiper motor. It was easy to do it, 4 - 10mm bolts and it was out.Getting to the motor took a little more work but is not impossible. You have to remove the windshield vent cover (not sure what it's called), it's located at the bottom of the windshield, and when the hood is up, you can remove the wiper arms and those trim pieces and get to the motor easily. This is a good general video that will show you how to roughly remove everything, granted this is a strut replacement video, but the beginning is what would be important to you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpSIv3mk98kHope that helps!
would check the switch in the door. little black plastic or rubber dome may be faulty and saying the door is open. could also be in the gate door lock depending on what was fitted at time.
