My 2007 hyundai entrouage vin number is coming up
Did you purchase this van new? If not, have you ran a carfax or carcheck vin number history report on this car? All Hyundai vehicles have their own manufacturer prefix in the VIN; Hyundai is- KM8, and KMH. Kia is- KNA, KNB, and KNC. They are the most popular prefixes for Hyundai/Kia produced minivans in South Korea. If this van has Hyundai emblems on the exterior, and on the horn pad, I would be very suspicious of what happend to it. If the VIN is decoding a Kia, you have problems. Either this Hyundai van was stolen, and someone used a Kia VIN plate on it, or you have a Kia van that was totaled in an accident, and was reconstructed from Hyundai van parts. Check the drivers door manufacturer label, there should be a VIN on that sticker as well, and should match what your VIN plate behind the windshield states. (You could be reading the VIN over the phone to someone, and they are getting the M's and N's mixed up, or the B and 8. KM8, and KNB look similar.) Have someone else look at the numbers for you, just to be sure. Good luck! Hope this helps!
