2008 Dodge Grand Caravan - Page 5 Questions & Answers
My cd player in my 08 dodge grand caravan won't continue to play the songs after I turn the van off, when I start it up again, the cd starts over from the beginning. ....how do I fix this?
Sounds like a cd player that is an after market.... just hook up the power wire to a battery always live fuse... ie a power connection that isn't interrupted by the ignition. however be sure that the radio doesn't have an anti theft system or as soon as the Power wire is disconnected the radio will have to be reset.... there should be a wiring diagram on the top of the radio or on the bk... look for the wire marked memory and hook the power wire up to the same spot on the fuse box.... the memory wire runs the clock, channel selection and anything else that needs power at all times, even when the ignition is off and the keys are removed so it will be a great spot to hook your power wire to also... just splice into that wire with a splicer but, if your system is a high powered system run an independent wire from the battery through the fire wall so you do not blw a fuse or cause a fire.
How remove head light assembly
Mine is a little earlier, but open the hood, on top of headlight there is a black tab on top fastening it to the frame, remove it. Then look behind the headlight, surrounding the area, where the headlight wires connect to the bulb, there are 3 hex nuts, remove them (carefully, as if you drop them, they will probably fall into the "Bermuda Triangle" never to be seen again. Headlight and turn signal/ parking light assembly SHOULD slide out the front, if it still won't move, check for another hex nut/bolt or phillips screw holding it in. DO NOT turn the two adjusting screws, visible from the top Deep inside holes on the top, as this will do no good getting the light assembly out and just mess with the aiming of the headlight. Hope this helps.
How do you replace the pcv valve on a 2008 dodge
the hose is U-Shaped on the top of the manifold. It runs up and to the back. It had clamps on mine. The hose should be flexible, mine was hard as a rock so I got a new one before starting the job. The front part of the hose pulls up and off, the back towards the firewall, is where the PCV valve is fitted into a grommet and the hose. That is clamped into place. Just loosen up the clamps and PULL that right UP and out. Replace PVC and re-clamp on new HOSE. 15 mins, very easy to do !!
