numerous reasons: Check for blown fuses for the ECU- the brains of the car. Next try replacing the fuel filter (not likely). Next- fuel pump relay-Turn on ignition but don't try to start, listen for a humming sound from the gas tank, pump should run for about 2 seconds then stop, if it does this you can rule out the fuel pump relay, if not change out the relay and try above again, if still no humming then the pump it self might be bad. This I think is the only check you can do without specialized tools Crankshaft position sensor mechanic will have to check this.There is a sensor that watches your oil level-might be bad

sounds like a wiring problem, will it crank over? you may have burnt a fuse or a fusible link, you may have burnt through a part of the wiring harness etc.

If you haven't already located the battery, it is in the fenderwell, in front of the drivers side front wheel. There are a few retainers on a plastic shield in that area, remove those. Then disconnect the negative (black) cable first, and then the positive. You will also notice that there is a hold down bracket for the battery. Remove the bracket and the battery will slide out.

NOTE: It is easiest to remove the battery with the left front wheel off. Make sure to have the car on jack stands before you remove the wheel.

Question edited for clarity and typos. Question moved to Dodge Stratus. Try flooding out the ignition switch with WD40 and the tube nozzle to clean it. It sounds like the contacts are dirty. As it is fine with the engine off, there is a possibility that the Body Control Module is involved with the issue. A good auto electrician could diagnose.

I have a 2003 Dodge Stratus 4 door I replace my multi-function switch and I still have no functions of any blinkers at all I'm kind of thinking it might be a fuse I checked all my fuses in my fuse box relays all the fuses are good except for the fuse that might be sitting on top of the blinker I don't know what it's for it green

Sounds like an internal transmission problem- could be as simple as a shift solenoid but could be more, sorry but it's true :( Is there a check engine light on? Check it out with a good diagnostic scanner, one with transmission control module capability is ideal!

Some makes and models, hvac vacuum actuators, lose vacuum, the hvac system will default to defrost. I'd check the vacuum and actuators. The vent doors are actuated by vacuum. Check for a vacuum leak to the system. Check both under the dash and the supply hose from the engine.

There were 3 different engines available that year. Repost and give us the missing info

The fuel filter is in the fuel tank the pump and the filter are one unit. Sorry to say good luck.

sorry but your timing belt is out of time. this engine is zero clearance the cylinder is hitting the valve, need to reset timing. put straight edge on it to align. with it being a V6 one of the cams. is off

That is the A/c Pump..On the bottom.. It probably seized up or the clutch on it went bad...

You need good flow through the heater core first. After that you may have to look at a blown head gasket. That will cause both of your problems

look underneath it's probably packed tight with snow underneath. look from the top down too on each side of the engine bet you can't see the ground. May have to go to a good car wash and underbody flush wash it a few times. did that once got up the next morning and couldn't even turn it at all.
