I have a 2008 Chevy Impala lt it was cutting out every now and again then check engine light came on with the error code p0303 hubby changed all plugs and wires and now when you crank the car it is ru

I doubt the problem is a head gasket. It sounds like a wiring problem or something affecting the injectors and/or ignition. A very lean fuel mixture could cause the running rough and backfiring problems. So could an ignition problem where the plugs are firing on the wrong cylinders. The V6 engine does use plug wires, and its possible some of the plug wires are on the wrong plugs. A leaking intake gasket could also cause the symptoms.

Why will key not turn fully off

As with all modern cars, the transmission has to be in "PARK" before their ignition switch can be turned "fully off". If it does not turn off with the gear selector (I'm assuming the the car has an automatic transmission) in park, then you have a gear selector, out of adjustment problem, which is easy to fix. If you just had the transmission removed or replaced, then the shop where the work was done owes you an adjustment.

How to reset anti theft system on a 2008 chevy impala

The security, antitheft or lock picture/icon is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. This link explains it pretty well. http://www.diy-gm-security.com/ Perform the re-learning procedure
  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON (vehicle will not start).
  3. Observe the SECURITY light, after approximately 10 minutes the light will turn OFF.
  4. Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 10 seconds.
  5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes ( the vehicle
  6. is now ready to relearn the Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK).
Start the engine (the vehicle has now learned the Sensor Data Code and/or password).

Goes it hurt to drive a car with a rear seal leak

Hi there, I'm Al the owner of Big As Auto Repair If you must drive the vehicle with any kind of leak maybe because you can't afford to repair it for awhile then / VERY IMPORTANT, you must keep it checked and filled to the proper level. HERE's WHY! The leak that you have is losing oil, grease, coolant or what every the leak is. This is lubrication for bearings and components that must have it to keep from damaging the component and in most cases locking up. SO, its OK to drive it that way just as long as you keep it full of lubricant. If you need further assistance go to my website below. Have an awesome day! Auto Repair

What usually happens is the battery is dead. You buy a new battery, then you need a radio code for it to work. Drive to the dealership with the car and get the code.

Both rear electric door locks are malfunctioning. Drivers side rear door lock works good when it is cold. the same was true with the passenger rear door lock. now that one will not work at all. the d

to see if it is a switch problem see if the locks work from their respective doors, if the locks work from the switch's on the back doors and not from the drivers switch then the drivers switch is bad. If the locks don't work right from any of the switches then the door lock solenoids are bad. the solenoids are not too hard to change if you are mechanically inclined, switches are not too hard either
