weak or dead battery charge the battery to 12.6vdc rested and then try. btw when power goes away then comes back , all cars to go dash cluster lamps, self test mode. key on to see that happen, even a loose fuse can cause this and lots of other reasons,all of which are easy to find with voltmeter

The filler breather seems to be leaking. This is a pipe that comes from the top of the tank to the fuel filler hose very near to the tank cap. Also check the filler hose neck itself.

SOUNDS very plausible ,have had it happen on bmw a few times ,would recommend buying bracket re-assembling and running vehicle and checking all other pulleys that run on the serpentine belt carefully for wear or noise as it is usually a vibration/loose brackets that cause a mounting bracket to crack or fail ,sorry cant help you on costs or availability ,it often changes with dealerships

You sure is white not blue,coolant or oil.

Have you checked for a blown fuse?

Low freon level can cause symptom

After market parts are not always the best way to go even though they are cheaper to buy. Always go with OEM, they are designed specificly for you auto and come with a good warrenty.

if problem happens with electric cooling fan coming on .check fan assy. for broken blades/perimeter ring on both assy's [eng cold/off !!] have replaced two fan assy's in last two months, fortunatly shrapnel didn't damage hoses or wiring !

it s acceptable in full lock to lock turns to hear the humming with normal wight steering
and it is acceptable to drive the car without any power steering assist until have it fixed don`t be worry keep an eye on steering fluid

The fuel filter is serviced only as part of the left fuel level sensor assembly in the fuel tank

1. Remove rear seat bench

2. Fold carpet forwards

3. Fold back rubber mat

4. Remove the nuts and fold back metal cover

5. Disconnect electrical connector

6. Release and disconnect fuel feed and return lines

CAUTION: The fuel gauge must roughly indicate zero before the left tank opening is opened. Large quantities of fuel may emerge upon opening. If necessary, keep the left tank opening closed and feed an extraction hose through the right service opening to the left tank half and drain the fuel out of the left tank area before proceeding.

7. Release the screw cap

8. Carefully raise fuel level sensor until sensor flange emerges.

CAUTION: Risk of breakage! When raising sensor unit, do not pull excessively on connecting piece of fuel return line.

9. Disconnect line to fuel filter

10. Disconnect suction jet pump from fuel filter (Press catch downwards to detatch suction jet pump)

11. Remove left sensor unit from the tank.

12. Reverse order to install

could be the thermostat, air lock in the system or head gasket

first is the headlight Xenon or normal? Xenon : The bulb is situated behind the backing cover on the light and is a clip on cover! remove this cover and the xenon bulb and module will be exposed. turn this unit anti-clock wise direction and it should come out easily. unplug the small wire and replace the bulb and or the small unit that has been removed. DON'T TOUCH THE BULB ! as this will damage it!
Normal: Remove the round cover and the bulb will be exposed !, remove wire connector and un clip the retainer spring, replace bulb!

if it was the clutch thrust bearing the noise would be there as soon as you put load on the pedal, so the noise will be coming from the spigot bearing because when you have the clutch pedal down a few inches the input shaft in the gearbox is almost stationary there fore the spigot bearing is then turning around the stationary input shaft causing the noise .when the clutch pedal is released the clutch plate is held tight by the pressure plate holding the input shaft at the same speed as the crankshaft there fore the input shaft and spigot bearing are turning at the same speed and not turning on each other and not making any noise .regards agwbk

As you said you have serviced your BMW and want to reset service , you cant reset this without scanner (a computer that communicate with vehicle computer which will be available at local workshops also), then only you can reset that service message. if any issue please let me know. thanks

it is bad electric water pump, very common problem $465for the pump. 2.8 hour labor

On deep side of the trunk. Is it under where the spare wheel . All things you need to remove it out.

take the outlet hose off at the bonnet just under the nozel that sprays the windscreen and using an airling blow down it it clears and saves you £90 plus vat thats what my bmw dealer wanted to charge me//???

if its just mist or water vapour it should clear its self in time,,but you could use a hair dryer on low heat to speed it up,,, just dont go cooking it????
