2006 bmw 530xi have a electric water pump (next to the thermostat). Common to go bad. There should be no heat in the car and "overheating" pops up. Electric water pump $495.00

bring engine to TDC no1 and use some white paint on it to mark it all up as a back up ,the cams have a position on them, but its been a couple of years since i done one and a lot of grey hair has grown since then ,but if you careful and mark it up first and check the camshast for a slot or some sort of mark then you cannot go wrong what i do as well is to paint the cam caps to the cam as well sort of double indemnity if you know what a mean ,i do so many cars and no manuals as its sort of second nature so i never worry about timing marks ,but i always paint something before i start ,perhaps i should change my name to rembrandt

BMW has two fuel pumps one is by the tank one is on the motor

On the passenger side, under the glove box, you could see a black drainage hose going to the middle console were the a/c evaporator housing is located, follow the hose where you could pull out the hose and clean the debris inside. its a bit skimpy doing that job, but it will solve ur problem! taaah!

If coolant is leaking, I would replace any leaky parts and refill the overflow tank and radiator with coolant.

check the continuity of your plug wires and cap/ rotor contacts if applicable. Dirty injectors are also a possibility. A shop computer diagnostic would be a worthwhile investment to prevent further problems. Basics like fuel & air filters and clean throttlebody/ mass air flow sensor can all be contributing factors...Also check for leaking injector o-rings at intake manifold and fuel rail...

Gearbox solenoid seems to be malfunctioning, get diagnostics chek done, and than you will know what to do next.
