How do I reset the service brakes soon light on a

{: ) It depends on how serious the fault is. It could be the wirings. However you can at least try these steps. The most important is to check for proper brake fluid level, and carefully inspect for brake fluid leaks. Check also your brake lights if working properly. Also check the parking brakes if the light responds as you engage or disengage the park brake lever.

Drivers main door lock won't acutate

{: ) If its only the driver door lock not working, open that door and try to put your ears as close as possible to the actuator area. You can use your remote to lock and unlock the door actuators. Can you hear the lock actuating even a little sound? Is the doorlock knob seem to move but wont push or pull thru? I hope you did. Because you just need to replace the actuator.
If thats not the case, it can also be an actuator, but you may need to confirm the wirings first.

How do you turn off the check engine light on a

{: ) You can try cycling the ignition switch on, then off, then on , then off again. Remove key, open and close driver door (with all other doors remaining closed). Wait 60 sec. Then start engine.
This approach works only in few cases, and it depends. If there is a prevailing fault, the check engine light will still come back, until the fault has been rectified.

How to repair front driver side widow motor.at fir

{: ) Sounds like you have a faulty window regulator. Usually the regulator cable gets broken or detached. If this is the case, your window may not move at all, even though the motor seems to be working when you switch the button up or down.
The door trim panel need to be removed totally. Once removed, you will find two bolts for the glass catch, 3 bolts for the motor, and 4 bolts for the regulator.( all #10mm )
Begin by loosening the 2 bolts on the rubber insulated glass catch, just enough to pull the glass up from its track. You may need an assistant. You need to lift the glass (only) to the top closed position, and apply a strong masking tape to hold the glass on that position for the time being.
Continue by removing the motor and regulator bolts. I hope the replacement part is readily available. I think the window regulator comes in assembly, the motor is integrated to the regulator.
When bolts removed, simply pull out and fold to remove outwards. Be sure you remember how it was mounted before you removed it.
Installation is just the reversal procedure. Position first the regulator assembly and semi-tight all the bolts. Its better if you just follow the old bolt markings. Secure motor connection.
Loosen the two bolts on the glass catch, just enough for the glass to slide and seat freely. Temporarily connect the window switch. Press the up button slowly and align the glass with the catch. When glass seated fully, tighten the 2 bolts on the catch to hold it firmly. You can remove now all the tapes you sticked.
Try to operate the window up and down carefully and observe. Make that final tightening of the regulator with the glass resting in the the full up position. Re-install the trim panel. Goodluck.

My suburban will not shift

Do you notice anything unusual when it shifts through gears such as the feeling that its searching the gears or delay? The problem could just be the switches found in the car's shifter if nothing unusual is observed other than the said issue. The switch may need cleaning or wires may have come loose.

My 08 Suburban only has 32000 miles and the check

{: ) There are a lot of reasons. The best way to have an idea of the possible cause is to have it checked by a scan tool. You can try to turn off the engine, remove key, open then close driver door, for 1 minute to reset the module. Then try to start the engine again.
However, if the trouble code is current, the engine light will just keep on coming back.

How to remove the passenger door panel to replace

{: ) If only to replace the passenger window switch, you will need one or two flat-bladed tools to pry upwards the whole window switch bezel. Underneath are two metallic sliding locks at near both ends, and one plastic lock at the middle. Start prying at the forward area first, going to middle, and then towards the rear. Do it swiftly, and careful not to leave any marks on the door trim .

My stabilitrak light continues to

If your stabilitrak light continues to come on, that means the problem with your stability system really need to be checked out. It is not a dangerous issue, you can still drive safely without the aid of stabilitrak. However, since it is designed on your car, you should enjoy the advantages of having a good stabilitrak system because it enhances driving convenience and control, added safety as well. So better have it scanned and fixed, or the light will just annoy you every time. Okay, there? goodluck. : )

The check engine light has

Yes & yes. TPS is basically a rheostat that operates up and down when you step on gas pedal. Over time they develop "hot" or "wear" spots. Can even give symptom of slipping transmission. Pick up new TPS at any good parts store and have them show where it's at on your rig. Usually right near intake and pretty simple to replace - plug and play.

Who to check front and

The front and rear differential and transfer case comes with a plastic plug that pops out with a screwdriver or a metal plug that a square end of a ratchet/extension fits into half way up on all of them. You will also see another plug on all of them at the bottom, this is for draining(Do not remove it). After removing the halfway up plug on a level surface, the oil level should be slightly lower by sticking your finger in it. Hope this helps

What causes the check engine

1100 reasons. Thats why you will need the computer scanned for DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble Codes), then with the code, that will direct you in the area of what the problem is. Buy a scanner from a parts store, then you can at least read the codes and look over basic parameters.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!
