2007 Ford E-150 XLT Wagon - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
How to fix stoplights on 2006 ford e150?
There should be a brake light switch under the dashboard, right around the brake pedal. It should be pretty straightforward to remove it and replace it with a new one.
Hand brake
most you can find if you follow cable from e-brake to rear brakes ,along the way you'll find adjuster, hope this helps ,good luck
I am replacing disc brakes on a 2006 E-150 Ford
The pads are hung on the outer ridge on the rotors,
because you don't take them apart once a year and
knock down the ridge, clean off all rust, inspect and
lube things
Use a wide screw driver or small pry bar between
the old pad and rotor to compress the piston
I stopped a little short in my ford van and the
I think you could make it home, but to be on the safe side. FIRST check the normal breaking while just starting to move to make sure your brakes function normally. You your brake system may be overheated and needs to cool down for a few minutes. The ABS (Anti-Lock Braking) system is a unit that rapidly pumps the brakes with a rapid pulse. That function is now absent and you most likely now have regular functioning brakes with no ABS. IN A SAFE AREA start very slowly in low gear and push on the brakes to see how the vehicle stops. If that is good. Try it again at higher speed. You will immediately know if your Brakes are working. If so, drive home. NOTE: There is a back up brake system in all cars that works but requires a lot of pressure applied to the brakes. That is there as a safety measure.
It's most likely you DO NOT have ABS. It appears as though the switch that turns on the ABS automatically in a short stop Stayed on. This would have made the pulsing ABS unit motor continue to work until it:
a) burned out. or
b) burned out the fuse wire that leads to it.So, in effect, it was pulsing your brakes whether you needed it or not.
The smell was likely your brakes being over used.
Get this checked out immediately. I just did a quick search and there has been a massive Ford Recall concerning ABS systems for many of the Ford Vehicles including the E-150s
I hope this helps,
Best Regards,
Mark
My 1999 E150 heat takes a very long time to warm
This sounds like a sticking Thermostat. If your Temperature gauge on the dash indicates that the motor is still cold when it has run awhile and you have poor heat, its the Thermostat. It should be beneath the housing for the big top radiator hose. Observe the direction the old part was laying in and replace it with a new part facing the same direction.
You will need to replace the "O" ring or gasket under the fixture. You may lose a little Antifreeze and it will work much better to work on a COLD engine. When finished just start the engine and only add extra Antifreeze to the overflow plastic tank.
If after a day you still have problems, you will need to investigate further. Use the reply feature and eventually an Email will show up on this end.
Sir i m very sorry to disturb u but i m simply an
a mechanical gov can use springs or fly weights to control the amount of fuel delivered at a given rpm. an electronic does basically the same thing but with the use of speed sencers and cervos that can control fuel, spark, and timeing. the first is a straight forward approach and has worked well over the years. but the secound is more precise and adjustable withe the stroke of a key board. as to which is better, that depends on the application. mechanical works off engine rpms and takes abuse well but can only regulate speed useing rpms so if you have more gears the faster you can go. where as the electronic uses speed sencors that pull info from the trans or wheels and will only let you do the speed set by the computer
2007 ford e350 van, reverse lights wont work
On the side of your transmission will be a switch with several wires
coming out of it. This is your reverse switch that turns on your
reverse lights and most likely needs to be replaced
1989 ford e 150 fuel poblem
check the module located on the side of the distributor. I have had that problem and that was the ticket. Fords are common for that sort of failure.
Need a diagram for all
I can't read minds, nor do I have X-ray vision. Stupid questions get stupid answers. You need to give WAY more information about your truck. What YEAR is it? What engine does it have? Is it a stock van, or a customized vehicle [wheel chair van, etc]?

2001 Ford E150 cargo van temperature gauge not working
If the temperature gauge in your 2001 Ford E150 cargo van is not working, there are a few potential causes:
- Faulty temperature sensor: The temperature gauge in your van is controlled by a temperature sensor, which sends a signal to the gauge to display the engine's temperature. If the sensor is faulty or has failed, the gauge may not display the correct temperature or may not work at all.
- Wiring issues: If the wiring that connects the temperature sensor to the gauge is damaged or broken, the gauge may not display the engine's temperature correctly. Check the wiring for any damage or loose connections.
- Blown fuse: The temperature gauge is powered by a fuse, which can blow and cause the gauge to stop working. Check the fuse box for any blown fuses and replace them if necessary.
- Instrument cluster issues: If the temperature gauge is not the only gauge that is not working, the problem may be with the instrument cluster itself. In this case, the instrument cluster may need to be repaired or replaced.
- Faulty gauge: It's also possible that the temperature gauge itself is faulty and needs to be replaced.
