Are you sure it is the pump and not the switch?

My power steering system in Equinox 2007 just stopped to work without any reason. I tried to find solutions and found out that there was no dedicated fuse for it. Which means that it is under the computes's control. What should we do with any computer first if we have problems? That's correct - restart it! :-) I disconnected the battery for 30 seconds and voila - no issue with power steering anymore. No expensive parts, no 80 amp fuse replacement, no service of any kind :-)

Do yourself a favor an take it to a qualified repair shop an have diagnostic's done . Could be any number of thing's . we'd only be guessing .

Hi I would suggest this fsult is tested using correct diagnostic computer because guesding could cost a fortune in wrong parts. Also, just because 1 car has a similar fault does not mean yours will be the same. You could have an ecu issue, wiring connector faults etc etc. Get it cgecked by a pro. Roger

First have the battery tested, it is a free service of any auto parts store like Autozone and others.

usually when there is no gas in the ac system it will not come on, check if you have gas in the system, if not you might have a leek that needs to be solved before recharging the system with gas

If this is by chance a Equinox then you have a cracked fuel line and if you live in the south you will need to take it into dealership because that fuel system has a recall on it. Hope this helps

The PCM (computer) is limiting the throttle because something is wrong with your suspension , steering or braking system. Have you had brakes worked on, changed tire sizes etc? The stabilitrack system gets feedback from sensors in each wheel> Such as speed, rotation angle etc and makes adjustments to stabilize the vehicle. If the sensors are not working properly or the braking is not balanced, the computer will throttle down the vehicle to prevent what it thinks is the beginning of a skid.

Take it back to the dealership! Sounds like wrong fluid was used or damage was caused by fill procedure. Gm transmissions are also electronic and components such as solenoids could be failing. Never Never change or flush GM transmissions as early as 70,000 miles if it is normal use. You are asking for trouble. Under normal use they are sealed and can go for 100,000 mile under normal operation

A vehicle will not stay running unless it has a good ground field and if the battery has died. You may not be able to be able get it to run. Try a jump. If it starts and runs, un-hook the ground and see if it stays running. Good luck.

you can get on google and put 2007 EQUINOX CODE P00xx, P00yy and it should give you some info. Some topic may be to explain your code and some may be other people and what they did to fix it. Need to let you know a code does not have the same fix all the time. The code may indicate fuel system. It could be a fuse, relay, injectors, fuel pump or wiring. I like to look at what other people have done to fix the problem and start with the cheep fix. If you know your car is 2.0L engine you can put 2.0L in the search. Some codes are more specific to a specific part and others may have a few separate parts you have to look at.

I haven't heard about problems like that other than in a flood damaged vehicle.Did you buy it new? To check for a battery drain yourself,disconnect the battery large cable and place a 12 volt test light between the cable and the battery positive.If you see a bright light on the test light you do have a vehicle drain,if it's dim don't worry about it.Now,if the light is bright pull one fuse at a time until the light goes dim,this will be the circuit draining and you can now trouble shoot that circuit.Don't cause a bright light by opening a door or turning on the key.DO NOT TRY AND START THE VEHICLE while the test light is hooked up.
